Abstract: A method for mounting connection pins in respective through-holes. Each pin having an anchoring part for insertion into said through-hole, a contact part to extend outside said through-hole and having a contact end for contact with the surface of another module of the electronic assembly, and a flange part to abut against said component carrier and located between said anchoring part and said contact part. A die tool has several similar recesses all adapted to receive a contact end of the contact part of a connection pin. The anchoring part of the pin is inserted in a through-hole of the component carrier, and the pin is anchored in the component carrier by exerting a force on a free end of the anchoring part of the pin while an end surface of the contact end abuts the bottom surface of similar recesses in the die tool.

Abstract: Control of a data packet buffer in a communication system and a data packet queue in a transmission link are shown. The queue stores a plurality of received data packets that are intended for transmission over a wireless interface. Selected packets are discarded from the queue without the selected packets having been transmitted. A packet is selected for discarding depending on at least the length of time the packet has been stored in the queue. The discarding of a selected packet is effectuated on condition that at least a predetermined time period has elapsed since a previous discarding of a packet has taken place. Such a solution is advantageous in that, for varying transmission bandwidth conditions in the transmission link, it is possible to achieve good link utilization and throughput, while at the same time enabling a low end-to-end delay for packets transmitted in the link.

Abstract: Users, who have simultaneous access to a plurality of terminal devices, can enter into a multimedia, multiterminal user session. In a negotiation phase users agree on which media to use in a multimedia session and select the most appropriate types of terminal devices that support the selected media. Each terminal device is connected to one of a plurality of interworking communications networks. A network node (130) that is reached through any of the plurality of interworking networks manages creation and supervision of sub-sessions involving the selected terminal devices such that each type of terminal device carry at least one selected media. A versatile and media rich communication is obtained in which terminal devices currently available at a local environment are efficiently used.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a computer program product and a device for evaluating a code which is orthogonal to one or more further codes. The method comprises the steps of receiving a signal which carries a code containing a sequence of code symbols, determining for a particular symbol instant at least one channel estimate, determining for the particular symbol instant a compensation value taking into account the at least one channel estimate, compensating each code symbol using the compensation value determined for the corresponding symbol instant, wherein the compensation is performed such that an original power relationship among the individual code symbols contained in the code is restored, and evaluating the code on the basis of the sequence of compensated code symbols exploiting the orthogonality to further codes.
