  • Patent number: 11856667
Abstract: A self-regulating power supply (601, 901) for a led light source comprises a drive power input (602, 603) and a lighting output (604, 605, 904, 905), and therebetween a converter (606, 906) for generating a supply voltage and a supply current from drive power. In addition, it comprises voltage regulating means (607, 907), current regulating means (608, 908), and a control unit (609, 909) which controls said voltage and current regulating means (607, 608, 907, 908). The control unit (609, 909) is arranged to change (701, 802) the supply voltage in a controlled manner to detect where an operating voltage range of the led light source lies, and to measure (703, 803, 806) a value of the supply current in the operating voltage range. It deduces (702, 704) a nominal maximum value of the supply current at least partly on the basis of the measurement of the value of the supply current, and sets (705) the deduced nominal maximum value of the supply current as a target value of the supply current.

  • Patent number: 11506347
Abstract: A LED strip having LED chips and a strip to which the LED chips are fixed and which also functions as a support structure of conductors coupled with the LED chips, and a tube manufactured from an elastic and at least partly light-transmitting material and surrounding the strip with the LED chips. At the outer surface of the tube there is a fixing element which is in essential parts of the same material as the tube. The LED strip includes a thermal conduction part which is of a material different from the tube and which, in the cross-section of the LED strip, is directed outwards from the inner surface of the tube for conducting waste heat generated in the LED chips out from the tube.

  • Patent number: 11400796
Abstract: A combined luminaire and air conditioning nozzle includes a front panel (101) with an opening. A nozzle frame (103) is pivotably connected to the opening of the front panel (101) so as to separate an air cavity (105) located behind the front panel (101) from a front side of the front panel (101). The structure includes a controller element (106) with a closing mechanism mechanically coupled thereto and arranged to adjustably limit an air passage (107) from the air cavity (105) to the front side of the front panel (101) in response to a movement of the controller element (106). A luminaire element (108) forms part of the closing mechanism and is provided with a light source arranged to output light to the front side of the front panel (101). The closing mechanism is arranged to convert a movement of the controller element (106) into a movement of the luminaire element (108), so that said adjustable limiting of the air passage (107) occurs as a result of said movement of the luminaire element (108).

  • Patent number: 9848475
Abstract: In a light source, a plurality of parallel LED strings or columns (R, G, B) share the same current source (12) as a function of time. Current distribution to the LED strings is carried out with semiconductor switches (Q1, Q2, Q3) that are connected in series with the LED strings. Each semiconductor switch and the corresponding LED string is controlled with a dedicated pulse-width modulated colour control signal (C1, C2, C3). The pulse-width modulated control signals control the semiconductor switches (Q1, Q2, Q3) and the LED strings (R, G, B) sequentially active one at a time and to take current from the common current source (12) for the time defined by the corresponding pulse-width modulated control signal (C1, C2, C3). This control establishes colour tone and colour temperature adjustment, which is independent of the operation of the shared current source.
