Abstract: A database synchronization system (10) is disclosed that synchronizes the content of a central database stored on a central computer (16) with one or more remote databases stored on one or more remote computers (18). A data extract and transfer application (20) is provided on each of the remote computers (18). A migrator application (26) processes the audit trail files (24) of the remote computer (18) to create a database of change (28). When the database of change (28) reaches a size threshold, the data extract and transfer application (20) shuts down the migrator application(26), processes the database of change (28), and restarts the migrator application (26) to begin the creation of another database of change. The data and information in the database of change are converted into a series of flat files (48) that are transferred over a communications line (14) from each of the remote computers (18) to the central computer (16).

Abstract: A system for protecting exposed portions of an electric cable mounted in an electrical connector from detrimental components, such as liquids and gases, by inserting a movable sealing material into a cavity in the electrical connector and displacing the movable sealing material during the insertion of the electrical cable into the electrical connector so as to form an effective seal between the outer surface of the electrical cable and the inner surface of the electrical connector to prevent any detrimental components from entering into the electrical connector and attaching a continuous glob of movable sealing material to close an opening in the electrical connector so that, when an electrical cable is mounted in the electrical connector with the bared end portion passing through the glob of movable sealing material, exposed portions of the electrical cable will be protected by the movable sealing material.
Abstract: A detector is positioned in each of a plurality of protected zones for converting detected sound into electric signals which are amplified and fed to operatively associated discriminators which generate an alarm signal responsive to the detection of electric signals indicative of the occurrence of an alarm condition. Security personnel stationed at locations remote to the zones in which the alarm condition occurred are automatically notified of the occurrence and location of the alarm condition for purposes of taking remedial action.
