Abstract: A needle guide includes an attachment means for attachment to an imaging probe that forms an image of an area, a fixed part, and a movable part movable at an angle. The movable part includes one or more needle guide elements that receive a needle in a guiding manner, and at least one rotation sensor to measure the angular rotation of the movable part. A method for determining the position of a needle attached to the needle guide relative to the imaging probe is also disclosed.
Abstract: A transducer assembly is disclosed. The transducer assembly includes a first transducer element comprising a first row of ultrasonic transducers and a second transducer element comprising a second row of ultrasonic transducers. The first row of ultrasonic transducers can be arranged at a nonzero angle with respect to the second row of ultrasonic transducers. The first transducer element and the second transducer element can be detachably connected. A connector can be in electrical communication with the first transducer element and the second transducer element, where the connector is configured to be connected to an endoscope.
Abstract: A multi-port manifold includes an instrument port, bronchoscope inlet, entrance for air and common exit. It is proposed to position the instrument port in line with the exit. The bronchoscope inlet is positioned at a very small angle with respect to the instrument port, while the air entrance extends at right angles to the plane defined by the axes of the port and the inlet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a transducer assembly (1) for an echoscope, comprising a first row of ultrasonic transducers (2) and a second row of ultrasonic transducers (3), said transducer assembly (1) combining the advantages of a linear transducer and of transducers with various rows of transducers which are arranged at an angle with respect to one another, due to the fact that the first row of ultrasonic transducers (2) forms part of a first transducer element (4), due to the fact that the second row of ultrasonic transducers (3) forms part of a second transducer element (5) and due to the fact that the first transducer element (4) and the second transducer element (5) are detachably connectable to one another in at least two positions to form a composite transducer element (6).
