    Abstract: A conductive tip catheter includes a flexible tubular member defining a lumen that extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The conductive tip catheter also includes an electrically conductive metallic coil at least partially located within the lumen of the flexible tubular member. The electrically conductive metallic coil includes a first region located at a distal end of the metallic coil having a first pitch, a second region proximal to the first region having a second pitch that is greater than the first pitch, and a third region proximal to the second region having a third pitch that is different from the first pitch and the second pitch. A conductive tip is located at the distal end of the flexible tubular member, and the conductive tip defines a tip lumen in fluid communication with the lumen.

    Abstract: A colored suture includes an elongate woven braid of filaments including one or more ends made of an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The suture also includes second and third ends which can be colorable or dyeable before or after incorporation into the elongate woven braid. This invention provides surgeons with improved recognition of suture ends in surgery by construction of a bi-colored co-braid with at least two ends of different color schemes or patterns braided into a UHMWPE construction. One of the colored ends runs continuously from one end of the suture to the other end. The other colored end can be colored only on one half of the end. This provides a suture with two distinguishable ends, while still maintaining a continuous line of color along the length of the suture.

The flexible rib defines a channel extending transversely through the rib along a majority of said length. The flexible rib can collapse and provides better retention of the clip on a vessel. The clip can contain a flexible rib on both legs in an interlocking fashion. Or a plurality of teeth can protrude from a second vessel clamping inner surface of a second leg member. The plurality of teeth can include first and second rows of teeth extending longitudinally on the second leg member, transversely separated from each other on opposite sides of a centerline of the clip.
