    Abstract: An assembly for guiding and protecting optical fibre cables or wave guides, which comprises a first number of first guide tubes and a second number of second guide tubes where each of the first and second guide tubes are adapted to receive an optical fibre cable along its complete length. The assembly further comprises an elongated first tubular shell, and an elongated second tubular shell where the first number of first guide tubes is supported within and in parallel relationship with the first tubular shell, and the second number of second guide tubes is supported within and in parallel relationship with the second tubular shell.     Abstract: In downlink signal communication to a mobile terminal (200), the mobile terminal (200) is associated with a serving access node (100-1). Signal communication to a further mobile terminal (200; 200??) may interfere with the signal communication between the serving access node (100-1) and the mobile terminal (200). In order to allow interference mitigation at the mobile terminal (200), the serving access node (100-1) obtains scheduling information pertaining to the signal communication to the further mobile terminal (200; 200??). The obtained scheduling information is then forwarded to the mobile terminal (200) to be used for interference mitigation.

Events are re-distributed when a change occurs in the set of traffic processors. The input values are modified according to a model (43) of the digital-to-analog converter in which each output value of the digital-to-analog converter Y(n) is a sum of a desired value directly proportional to the respective input value and an error. The error is a product of the settled output value, i.e. the difference between the desired value and the previous output value Y(n?1) actually provided by the digital-to-analog converter, and a relative step error that is a function only of the respective input signal and is stored in a table. The relative step error can be a function also of the previous output signal and of the previous input signal. This model has a low complexity and is suitable for on-chip implementation.

    Abstract: The load on the communications resources of a cellular telephone system is monitored to detect instances of excess amounts of unused resource capacity. When such instances are detected, a message is transmitted to subscribers via the cellular system offering reduced charging rates for calls initiated in response to the offering message. The subscriber mobile stations are programmed to alert the subscriber to the broadcast of the offering message, after which the subscriber may initiate a reduced rate call. The mobile stations may further be programmed to automatically initiate the cellular call in response to receipt of the offering message, and to thereafter engage in the communication. Monitoring of communications resources external to the cellular system is also made, and an offering message is broadcast by the system in response to detection of excess amounts of unused external resource capacity, in response to which subscribers may initiate calls requesting reduced rate access to the resource.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing reconfiguration of a cellular network is provided. Cell parameters of affected mobile switching centers in the network are copied to a database, and the copied parameters are stored. A set of proposed changes to the stored parameters are prepared and the consistency of the prepared set of proposed changes is verified. Any necessary alterations to the set of proposed changes responsive to the verification are made and the verified set of proposed changes are copied to the affected mobile switching centers. The verified set of proposed changes are then introduced into the network. Additionally, at all times, an up-to-date image of all the cell parameters in all the mobile switching centers in the network is maintained in a system parameter database.
