Abstract: The present invention relates to a text message for carrying control information from a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) to a terminal in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The text message has a code for indicating to the terminal that the text message contains control information and a text portion being the control information. A logical node located in the WWAN sends control information to the terminal located in a WLAN. The logical node receives information regarding the terminal from a Wireless Serving Node (WSN) located in the WLAN. The logical node has knowledge of an access point connected to the WSN that currently serves the terminal in the WLAN. The logical node triggers in a message center of the WWAN the sending of the text message the terminal.

Abstract: A home Message Center (MC) in a telecommunications network is capable of receiving a short message, the short message being originated by an A-subscriber and destined to a B-subscriber, and determines that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. A PrePaid Charging Service Control Point (PPC SCP) is connected to the home MC and is responsible of prepaid accounting for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. The home MC sends to a PPC SCP an indication for notifying the PPC SCP that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber, and based on the indication, the PPC SCP charges a prepaid account of the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber for the short message.

Abstract: In a management system, a method, system, and agent for dynamically connecting event producers to event consumers, when the type of event notifications requested by event consumer(s) matches the type of event notification issued event producer(s). The agent receives advertisement or subscription request from event producers and consumers, and detects a match between the type of event notifications created by event producers and requested by event consumers. When a match is detected, the agent dynamically connects the egress port of the event producer to the ingress port of the event consumer. When another subscription request is received by the agent from another event consumer for the same type of event notifications, the agent first detects the optimal duplication node for duplicating the event notifications before sending them to both event consumers.
