  • Patent number: 11356850
Abstract: A method at a wireless terminal (UE) may include providing a first NAS connection with a network node (AMF) through a first access node (AN_1), wherein a first NAS CID is associated with the first NAS connection. While providing the first NAS connection, a second NAS CID may be allocated for a second NAS connection with the network node (AMF) through a second access node (AN_2). A registration request message may be transmitted to the network node (AMF) to request the second NAS connection, wherein transmitting the registration request message includes performing integrity protection for the registration request message using the second NAS CID. A security mode command message may be received from the network node (AMF), wherein the security mode command message corresponds to the registration request message. Responsive to receiving the security mode command message, a security mode complete message may be transmitted to the network node (AMF) through the second access node (AN_2).

  • Patent number: 10341151
Abstract: Method and devices determine parameters governing a concatenated reference signal design based on Zadoff-Chu sequences and having a limited correlation with other reference signals arriving at a same transmission point, wherein the concatenated reference signal has a controlled cubic metric. The cubic metric control is achieved by selecting base sequence root indices, phase shifts and/or block configurations in view of information related to the other reference signals.

  • Patent number: 10015690
Abstract: A technique in a telecommunications core network of processing a call between at least a first subscriber terminal and a second subscriber terminal. Verifying that the call is eligible for call analysis by checking the settings of call monitoring consent. Then, a first node on a call control plane of the core network is triggered to provide subscriber data to a call analysis node. The subscriber data includes at least one subscriber identifier. A second node on a user plane of the core network is triggered to direct at least a part of media data included in the call to the call analysis node. Related operations for legal interception and monitoring of a call and for separation of user plane and call control plane are provided.

  • Patent number: 9615379
Abstract: This disclosure provides a Scheduling Request transmission method (10) for decoupled downlink-uplink in heterogeneous network, where the heterogeneous network comprises at least two cells in charge of downlink and uplink transmission separately and connected with any backhaul, the method comprising: determining (11) a positive Data Scheduling Request, D-SR, is to be transmitted in a current D-SR's subframe together with HARQ-ACK/NACK on PUCCH using PUCCH format 1a/1b/3; transmitting (12) a HARQ-ACK/NACK in the current D-SR's subframe on PUCCH together with a negative D-SR using PUCCH format 1/1a/1b or format 3 while transmitting a Scheduling Request, SR, in a next SR's subframe subsequent to the current D-SR's subframe. In this method, the Scheduling Request (SR) of the UEs can be correctly detected in the Pico base station to trigger UL transmission in decoupled UL/DL scenario in various case and any kinds of backhaul can be supported.

  • Patent number: 9479981
Abstract: The dynamic determination of a handover trigger for triggering handover of a mobile terminal in a wireless network from a source base station to a target base station is based on one or more Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Each KPI indicates a quality of wireless services provided by the wireless network responsive to a particular handover trigger. If an obtained parameter that indirectly or directly impacts handover performance passes a corresponding performance test, the mobile terminal selects the handover trigger based on the KPIs. If the parameter fails the corresponding performance test, the source base station selects the handover trigger based on the KPIs.

  • Publication number: 20130202291
Abstract: A method for measuring asymmetry in propagation delay of first and second links which connect a first node to a second node of a communication network. The method comprises measuring (101) a round trip delay of the first link. The round trip delay can be measured by transmitting (102) a test signal from the first node to the second node over the first link and receiving a reply to the test signal from the second node over the first link. The method further comprises measuring (105) a round trip delay of the second link. The round trip delay can be measured by transmitting (106) a test signal to the second node over the second link and receiving a reply to the test signal from the second node over the second link. A difference in the propagation delay of the first link with respect to the second link is determined (109) using the measured round trip delays of the first link and the second link.

  • Patent number: 7729727
Abstract: A radio base station node (20) of a telecommunications network comprises a baseband transmitter (22) and plural radio frequency (RF) paths (24) between the baseband transmitter (22) and an antenna system (30). A measurement entity (32) is provided, preferably near the antenna system (30), for making a measurement or comparison of a time of detecting of a power modulation for each of plural RF transmission paths (24), e.g., a time of detecting of a power modulation for a first of the plural RF transmission paths and a time of detection of a power modulation for a second of the plural RF transmission paths. A transmission timing adjustment unit (34) uses the power modulation measurement or comparison for adjusting timing of transmission of signals for the plural RF transmission paths for obtaining a desired time alignment for the plural RF transmission paths.

  • Patent number: 6538294
Abstract: An arrangement in a semiconductor component includes a highly doped layer on a substrate layer and is delimited by at least one trench extending from the surface of the component through the highly doped layer. A sub-layer between the substrate layer and the highly doped layer is doped with the same type of dopant as the buried collector, but to a lower concentration. The sub-layer causes a more even distribution of the potential lines in the substrate and in a sub-collector layer, thereby eliminating areas of dense potential lines and increasing the breakdown voltage of the component, (i.e., because the breakdown voltage is lower in areas with dense potential lines).
