  • Patent number: 10470076
Abstract: A wireless device 108 and a method for mapping data packets to radio bearers in a wireless communication network 100. A Radio Network Node (RNN) 110 and the wireless device are operating in the wireless communications network. The wireless devices evaluates whether or not a data packet matches a packet filter in a first group of packet filters and/or a packet filter in a second group of packet filters. When the data packet does neither match a packet filter in the first group of packet filters nor a packet filter in the second group of packet filters, the wireless device maps the data packet to a default radio bearer.

  • Patent number: 10466998
Abstract: An upgrade campaign is generated for entities of a system described by a source configuration. According to the upgrade campaign, the system is upgraded to a target configuration using available software. A change model describes changes from the source configuration to the target configuration. According to the change model, an upgrade campaign specification model is generated, which contains at least one upgrade campaign element for each change in the change model. A subset of upgrade campaign elements are matched based on a first set of rules, and the matched upgrade campaign elements are merged into an upgrade procedure in the upgrade campaign specification model. The upgrade procedures are ordered based on a second set of rules and dependencies among the entities of the system, where the dependencies are extracted from the source configuration, the target configuration and the description of available software.

  • Publication number: 20190335328
Abstract: A user equipment is configured for concealment of a mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) group identity in multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS). The UE is configured in particular to receive an indication of an MCPTT group pseudonym (7) which is a pseudonym for an MCPTT group identity (11) that identifies an MCPTT group of which the UE is a member. The UE may for example receive this indication from a group management server (GMS) or an MCPTT server. The UE in some embodiments may determine whether received control signalling (e.g., an MBMS subchannel control message) is for the MCPTT group of which the UE is a member, by determining whether the control signaling includes the MCPTT group pseudonym (7).

  • Patent number: 10461791
Abstract: There are provided methods and systems for effectively analyzing RF interference in wireless networks, such as LTE and NR standards compliant networks, to facilitate tracking, identification, location, and repair of interference sources in such networks. According to an embodiment, a network management server receives measurement data from a plurality of measurement devices in the network. The server processes the measurement data to detect interference of one or more of a plurality of signal pattern types in the network and to generate pattern characterization data that characterizes the detected signal patterns. The server receives a user selection of a signal pattern type and selects, in response to the user selection and for display to the user, pattern characterization data that characterizes signals of the selected signal pattern type.

  • Patent number: 10462813
Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosed teachings, associating a plurality of contention-based uplink grants with a range of uplink resource blocks allows one contention-based uplink grant message to signal the entire plurality of grants. As an example in the LTE context, the signaling load on the PDCCH is reduced by using a single contention-based uplink grant message to signal a plurality of contention-based uplink grants. The message indicates an allocated set of uplink resource blocks and the number of separate uplink resource grants represented by the set is known or signaled, such that user terminals recognize that separate subsets of uplink resource blocks within the set each correspond to a separate contention-based uplink grant. Information included in the contention-based uplink grant message, or otherwise signaled can be used to control the probability at which the user terminals attempt contention-based uplink transmissions and/or to control the MCS used for such transmissions.
