Abstract: A broadband line interface circuit has a transmission module and a reception module. The transmission module has a parallel-to-serial converter 11 that receives data from a multiplexer 14 that multiplexes data from one or more input data tributaries. The transmission module also has a randomizer 15, a transmission clock generator 12, and a parity generator 13. The receiver module has a serial-to-parallel converter 33 that receives data under control of a reception clock generator 34. The serial-to-parallel converter sends parallel data to a demultiplexer 36 and to a parity verification block 32. A derandomizer 37 is connected with the demultiplexer 36, which demultiplexes the data onto one or more output data tributaries.

Abstract: A frequency multiplier integrated circuit (IC) has a frequency multiplier 1, an initialization signal generator 2, data sampling generator 3, and a clock generator 4. The frequency multiplier 1 has a timer 17 for calculating a first time between changes of state of an input signal, a time calculator 18 for a second time that a should occur between changes of state in the output signal, and an output signal generator 19 for generating the output signal. The initialization signal generator generates two initialization signals 12 and 13, one being the complement of the other, with a duration greater than 20 msec after an input initialization signal is received.

Abstract: An electronic data system is shown that allows unified access to many currently available information provider services, and that gives the information provider services a way to access potential users without the requirement that they have their own infrastructure.

Abstract: A multi-position television monitor stand, comprising two pieces with a rectangular footprint. One of the larger surfaces of such pieces has a deep, semicircular, concave depression to mate with the outer surface of a vertical support. The outer surface of one of the pieces has a U-shaped projection, which is bored through to accommodate a first pin with threaded ends attached to the projection using nuts, holding a projecting hollow element that connects by conventional means to a tubular element using a second pin. The tubular element has similarly tubular extensions provided with vertical plates including pairs of angled slots.

Abstract: In an actuating and dual scanning integrated circuit, modulators 24 of respective programmable power regulators 11 transmit to respective power converters, energy transfer commands corresponding to programming performed in the circuit. Modulation of the modulators' output signals depends on the programming and on feedback received from output sites 7 that it controls. The circuit communicates through a series link with a main control system 28 so that the control system varies the circuit's programming and receives data corresponding to circuit performance.

Abstract: A hybrid circuit for an electric operating and scanning interface is especially applicable to electronic recorders of electromechanical telephone stations. The hybrid circuit controls voltage and current parameters on different elements of the station in different situations. The hybrid circuit scans the condition of telephone station elements controlled by it, and programmably applies and receives current and voltage to and from the telephone station elements on which it acts.

Abstract: A translator in an element of a wideband network transforms a format restored by a CCITT information cell into other predetermined formats. It performs this function by inserting cells from a microprocessor into network data flow in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and extracting from the network data flow cells addressed to the microprocessor. The translator includes an input portion for receiving input data cells from the network data flow and for modifying a header of cells in the input data so as to adapt them to perform functions in the ATM layer. Preferably, the translator is implemented as an integrated circuit which serves as an interface between the network and the microprocessor, and which configures and manages asynchronous transfer mode multiplexer functions.
