  • Patent number: 11729468
Abstract: Authenticating the location of a viewing device for receiving content includes storing a plurality of connection identifiers in a database, the connection identifiers being associated with a plurality of networking devices and a plurality of user accounts. A viewing device sends a request to access content which is received by a server. The request is associated with a user account. One or more first connection identifiers is selected from the database based on the user account to which the request is associated. A second connection identifier is obtained based on a connection between the viewing device and the server. It is determined if the second connection identifier matches one of the one or more first connection identifiers. Content is provided to the viewing device if the second connection identifier matches one of the one or more of the first connection identifiers.

  • Patent number: 11647113
Abstract: A system and method for maintaining a grey list for controlling incoming calls from numbers on a telephone network. Information associated with previous calls received by the telephone is stored in the form of a grey list. The stored information includes an indication of whether each of the previously received calls passed a previous challenge. Based on the stored information, when an incoming call is received, a determination is made whether the incoming call corresponds to a call that passed a previous challenge. The incoming call connected to the telephone if the stored information indicates that the incoming call previously passed a challenge. An action is taken if the stored information does not indicate that the incoming call previously passed the challenge. The action may include blocking the call, allowing the call or providing a current challenge to the call.

  • Patent number: 11570610
Abstract: There is a method and system of removing duplicate Visitor Location Register (VLR) records, and updating the VLR's Global Title Address (GTA) in their Home Location Register (HLR) to avoid duplicate VLR impact to customer service, which may result in missed inbound calls and delayed inbound SMS. Duplicate VLR GTA means that one subscriber has more than one VLR record in different Mobile Switching Stations (MSS) or Mobile Switching Centers (MSC). The valid VLR is identified by comparing the “last active timestamp” of the same subscriber identity (IMSI, or MSISDN, or MDN) of VLR records obtained from each MSS/MSC. The VLR that has the most recent “last active timestamp” is used to identify the active/valid VLR which serves the subscriber. Afterwards the non-active VLR records will be deleted, and the VLR's GTA in HLR will be updated as needed.

  • Publication number: 20200014981
Abstract: A system and method for sending multimedia to a remote television. Credential information associated with at least a first user and a second user is stored. A request is received from a mobile device associated with the first user to share multimedia with a destination television associated with the second user. It is determined whether the second user is authorized to receive the multimedia from the first user using the stored credential information. A connection is established between the mobile device and the destination television after determining that the second user is authorized to receive the multimedia. The multimedia is transmitted to the destination television in real-time. The multimedia is stored no more than transiently during transmission from the mobile device to the destination television.

  • Publication number: 20190379645
Abstract: Methods of communicating and facilitating secret communication are provided, with the steps of having a first party provide an encryption key to a first client and a decryption key to a second client, having the first client generate a first and second information, both in combination forming the secret communication, first client encrypting the first information with the encryption key and sending the encrypted information to the second client by an independent communication channel such as a third party server, having the first client send the second information to the second client through the first party, having the second client decrypt the encrypted information with the decryption key to recover the first information, and second client combining the first and second information to recover the secret information.

  • Patent number: 10244380
Abstract: Disclosed is a method in which a User Equipment will be able to register near instantly onto an available preferred roaming network, when the cellular radio of the UE is powered on. The method disclosed comprises of a roaming destination determined from a mobile boarding pass or input via User Interface of an Application installed on the Mobile Equipment or via UI on the Operating System of the ME, where the Application or OS compares the roaming destination with a PLMN list to obtain the preferred PLMN ID of that roaming destination which is selected and updated to specific files within the UICC. LTE and/or UMTS band information can also be obtained for the roaming destination and an MRU database updated to include the LTE and/or UMTS band information.

  • Publication number: 20090034692
Abstract: A wireless plain ordinary telephone service includes a wireless interface, which provides a connection to a wireless network. A telephone dialing device sends digits corresponding to an external number into a wireless interface. An electronic line bridge lies in a wireline system. The electronic line bridge has a first line and a second line. The first line is connected to the wireless interface through a wireless network and the wireline Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The second line is connected to a wireline network. The first and second lines may be connected together. The wireless terminal connects into the wireline network through the electronic line bridge and the wireless terminal sends the digits corresponding to the external number into the second line.

  • Patent number: 6978154
Abstract: The present invention features a docking station for connecting a conventional wireline telephone or system of conventional telephones to one or more handheld wireless telephones, enabling a conventional wireline telephone to send calls to and receive calls from a wireless telephone network. This arrangement can eliminate the requirement for a separate wireline telephone service. The wireless telephone may be easily removed from the docking station for independent use as a mobile wireless telephone. The docking station is provided with a specially configured removable connecting sleeve which may be used to connect a particular make and model of handheld wireless telephone to the docking station. The docking station may comprise more than one connecting sleeve so that more than one handheld wireless telephone may be accessed by a wireline telephone connected to the docking station.
