Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for decoding and encoding point cloud data, which may be applied to scenes such as cloud technology, smart transportation, and assisted driving. The decoding method includes: obtaining encoded data of a data block in point cloud data, determining a target decoding parameter of the data block according to a target encoding parameter corresponding to the data block; and decoding the encoded data according to the target decoding parameter to obtain a decoded signal of the data block. The decoding efficiency of data blocks in point cloud data can be improved.
