Abstract: A tracking device is configured to estimate a track for at least one possible target and is configured to receive incoming measurements and to process measurements and tracks. The tracking device includes a storage and a computational device. The tracking device is also configured to divide all measurements into a set of considered measurements and a set of unconsidered measurements for each passive track.
Abstract: An end effector for handling a sheet of flexible material. The end effector includes a support frame and manipulator assemblies, each attached to the support frame by a support mount. The manipulator assemblies include a holding tool having a lifting surface. The manipulator assemblies include a linear actuator, and the holding tool is connected to the linear actuator by a multiaxial joint. A drive provides—the displacement of the holding tool by the linear actuator. The end effector includes resilient members each rigidly affixed to two adjacent holding tools and positioned in a space providing a mutual distance between opposing faces of the adjacent holding tools, where each holding tool is connected to—adjacent holding tools—by the resilient members. The resilient members are configured to non-permanently deform in the space when adjacent holding tools are displaced relative to each other along displacement axes.

Abstract: A tracking device estimates a track for at least one possible target and is configured to receive incoming measurements and process measurements and tracks. The device has a storage device and a computational device and an association module to calculate an association between a measurement and a track. The device further has an output module to output a sequence of track updates from an assignment module maintaining a set of active tracks using the association module as a function of active tracks and the incoming measurements to calculate associations, containing possible track updates and deciding which track updates to keep in the active tracks set and which to add to a passive tracks set. Computations on the passive tracks may be deferred until at least one passive track handling criterion is fulfilled. The computational device may activate and transfer a passive track from the passive set to the active set.
Abstract: A method of estimating a local plot density in a radar system observing an observation volume, the radar system configured to generate plots with plot attributes, by establishing a non-empty set of M-dimensional basis functions and corresponding coefficients, and repeatedly updating at least one coefficient based on at least one plot as obtained from the radar system, adjusting the basis functions and corresponding coefficients to represent a number of plots in a predetermined adjusting interval, and estimating the local plot density at a given point in the observation volume.
