  • Patent number: 11223222
Abstract: A contactless charging apparatus and method for contactless charging are disclosed. In one embodiment of the contactless charging apparatus, a primary electromagnetic structure and a secondary electromagnetic structure are disposed in an opposing relationship with primary concentric cores of the primary electromagnetic structure facing secondary concentric cores of the secondary electromagnetic structure with a non-magnetic gap therebetween. Coils may be positioned in the annular spaces between the primary and the secondary concentric cores. A non-resonance circuit is formed between the primary electromagnetic structure and the secondary electromagnetic structure to provide a contactless electrical energy transmission from the primary electromagnetic structure to the secondary electromagnetic structure with the use of a time-varying electromagnetic field.

  • Patent number: 11153694
Abstract: A hearing aid and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, the hearing aid includes a body having various electronic components contained therein, including an electronic signal processor that is programmed with a respective left ear qualified sound range and a right ear qualified sound range. Each of the left ear qualified sound range and the right ear qualified sound range may be a range of sound corresponding to a preferred hearing range of an ear of the patient. The electronic signal processor is also programmed with a tinnitus frequency which is a range of sound corresponding to a sensation of tinnitus in the ear of the patient. Sound received at the hearing aid is converted to the qualified sound range prior to output with the output amplified at 0 dB at the tinnitus frequency or an inverse amplitude signal applied at the tinnitus frequency.

  • Patent number: 11143009
Abstract: A downhole separator and method for use of the same for fluid mediums with low viscosity are disclosed. In one embodiment, the downhole separator has a housing with inlet openings that draw a fluid flow into an elongated annular separation chamber within the housing. The fluid flow advances under angular momentum imparted by a rotation of a shaft located in the housing. The shaft includes a profiled surface that imparts drag to the fluid medium and two local pressure increasing units to effect at least partial separation of the fluid medium into the following: (i) a liquid portion upwardly traversing the fluid passageway of the shaft via the inlet ports; (ii) a gaseous portion upwardly traversing the elongated annular separation chamber to the plurality of upper gaseous portion outlets; and (iii) a solid portion downwardly traversing the elongated annular separation chamber to the plurality of lower solid portion outlets.

  • Patent number: 11115759
Abstract: A system and method for aiding hearing are disclosed. In one embodiment of the system, a programming interface is configured to communicate with a device. The system screens, via a speaker and a user interface associated with the device, a left ear—and separately, a right ear—of a patient. The system then determines a left ear hearing range and a right ear hearing range. The screening utilizes harmonic frequencies of a harmonic frequency series, where the harmonic frequency series includes a fundamental frequency and integer multiples of the fundamental frequency. In some embodiments, the harmonic frequencies may include classical music instrument sounds.

The system screens, via a speaker and a user interface associated with the device, a left ear—and separately, a right ear—of a patient at an incrementally selected frequency within a frequency range, with tinnitus detected frequencies being re-ranged tested to better identify the tinnitus frequencies. The system then determines a left ear tinnitus-impacted hearing range and a right ear tinnitus-impacted hearing range.

  • Patent number: 10995745
Abstract: A submersible pump assembly for transference of a fluid medium with low viscosity is disclosed. In one embodiment, the submersible pump assembly includes a cylinder block having cylinders and pistons. A drive shaft is rotatably supported in the cylinder block and coupled to a drive unit. An inclined leading plate is coupled to the pistons and the drive shaft such that the pistons are configured to be axially driven in a reciprocating motion within the cylinders upon rotation of the inclined leading plate. A suction chamber and a pressure chamber are each located in fluid communication with the cylinders. In one operational mode, the fluid medium is transferred from the suction chamber to the pressure chamber during the reciprocating motion of the pistons, when the pistons are active. In another operational mode, the fluid medium is circulated through the suction chamber.

  • Patent number: 8104500
Abstract: The filling noise generated inside a pressurized container when liquid is injected into the container is detected at the outer end of a vent tube which extends into the container. When the level of liquid in the container reaches the lower end of the vent tube, the filling noise detected at the outer end is abruptly diminished. This abrupt change is detected and used to automatically terminate filling of the tank.
