Patents Assigned to Texfi Industries, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4936119
Abstract: The venturi device is removably mounted within and concentrically of a venturi housing of the apparatus. It has a plurality of elongate fluid passageways located between the inner and outer cylindrical surfaces thereof, and extending substantially parallel to a central axis of the device and housing. The passageways are spaced from each other about the circumference of the venturi device, have fluid inlets their adjacent closed ends, and have open ends adjacent an outlet section of the device possessing a frusto-conical surface that extends at a preselected angle relative to the central axis and that directs streams of fluid discharged from the open ends of the passageways angularly toward the central axis.

  • Patent number: 4607667
Abstract: In a loom of the type wherein the filling yarn is inserted into the warp shed in the form of cut lengths and wherein a reed serves for beating-up the inserted filling yarn into the fabric at the fell of the cloth, the combination therewith of improved means for severing the terminal ends of filling yarns projecting outwardly from at least one of the selvages of the fabric being woven; which improved means comprises positioning a cutter adjacent at least one end of the reed, and providing a relatively wide widthwise extending opening in the reed adjacent the end where the cutter is positioned, with the opening being of a width substantially greater than the dent spacing of the reed; so that when the reed is reciprocated in beating-up the filling yarn into the fabric, the cutter has portions thereof that are positioned in the opening in the reed for severing the terminal ends of the filling yarn close to the selvage of the fabric being woven.

  • Patent number: 4570464
Abstract: An improved jet dyeing apparatus is provided for dyeing a variety of textile fabrics in rope form, particularly relatively lightweight and delicate textile fabrics. This apparatus is capable of effectively dyeing such fabrics without causing the rope to be twisted and tangled. Damage of the fabrics and undesired stoppage of the apparatus is thereby avoided. This improved jet dyeing apparatus includes a jet nozzle tube having a plurality of cutouts adjacent its exit end which allow exiting dye liquor to flow in accelerated fashion and converge on the rope of textile material while the rope is passing through the nozzle tube and being contacted and directed thereby. The dye liquor stream converges on the rope at an angle of no greater than about 30 degrees whereby a relatively gentle action is imparted by the dye liquor as it converges on the rope.

  • Patent number: 4569107
Abstract: A method is provided for forming a warp beam with warp yarns having a temporary coloration to permit ready visual identification of the warp yarns during subsequent handling of the warp beam. The temporary coloration is accomplished by applying a foamed fugitive tint to the warp yarns in their path of travel from a supply creel to a winder with their speed of travel being such that the yarns are dried without having to apply external heat.
