Abstract: Methods for blending transmix containing distillates such as diesel fuel into certified gasoline streams that can be burned in internal combustion engines without affecting the certification of the gasoline or the efficiency or operability of the engine.
Abstract: Provided are automated systems and methods for measuring the physical properties of fuels in large storage tanks, and for blending butane into the fuels, including chemometric methods for controlling physical properties selected from volatility, butane content, and density of the fuel during the blending process.
Abstract: Automated methods and systems for blending high sulfur hydrocarbons, particularly those derived from transmix, into low sulfur hydrocarbon streams are provided. Also provided are methods for splitting transmix into usable hydrocarbon fractions and blending the fractions back into defined hydrocarbon streams.
Abstract: The invention provides a method for enriching diluents with butane so as not to violate pre-defined limits for liquid hydrocarbon fuels with respect to density, volatility and low density hydrocarbon content.

Abstract: Methods are provided for accurately blending biodiesel into distillate streams to achieve a pre-determined percentage of biodiesel in the distillate, applicable to wild-type distillate streams as well as distillate streams that already contain some percentage of biodiesel.
