  • Publication number: 20050233712
Abstract: A correction circuit for reducing the amount of noise generated in an analog television transmission system. A correction circuit generates a signal with opposite phase and identical amplitude to a noise signal generated by a high power amplifier and this signal is modulated with an analog television signal to be transmitted. The introduction of the reference signal results in the cancellation of the noise signal generated by the high power voltage source and results in a television signal being transmitted with a reduced level of noise.

  • Patent number: 6724153
Abstract: Control and filter circuits for linear power supplies, employing resistance to limit the release of stored energy and simultaneously removing the input mains AC, so as to protect a load device from damage when a high voltage fault occurs. The circuits may be used particularly in output filters for high voltage power supplies for high power transmitting tubes, such as Inductive Output Tubes used in UHF television transmitters, which must be protected from internal arcing by a controlled release of stored energy and a rapid disconnection of input power. The use of the filter circuit combined with rapid solid state switching ensures that the load is not subject to an excessive surge when a high voltage fault occurs.

  • Patent number: 6507243
Abstract: A controller-based radio frequency amplifier method and module are employed in a modular transmission system in which respective of the controller-based radio frequency amplifier modules amplify a portion of a signal that is input into the system. Each amplifier module includes an amplifier submodule have a plurality of discrete amplifiers arranged in an amplifier chain, a processor submodule is configured to control a level of the amplified output signal that is output from each amplifier module, a power supply module, and an enclosure. The processor submodule is configured to control the discrete amplifiers in the amplifier submodule such that the module may be removed or added to the system without damaging the power amplifier module or other system components.

  • Patent number: 6371157
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product system for evacuating coolant from a liquid-cooled device. The system includes a coolant supply path adapted to be coupled between a coolant supply pump and the liquid-cooled device; a coolant return path adapted to be coupled between a coolant supply reservoir and the liquid-cooled device; and a coolant removal path coupled between the coolant supply path and the coolant return path. The coolant removal path is configured to evacuate coolant from the liquid-cooled device using a venturi effect from the coolant supply path to evacuate the coolant through the coolant return path into the reservoir.
