Abstract: A method for analog circuit design includes the steps of (A) generating a plurality of initial designs of an analog circuit with a computer, (B) generating one or more intermediate designs of the analog circuit based on a selection of a plurality of characteristics from a subset of the initial designs, (C) combining the intermediate designs in each corner of a plurality of process corners, a plurality of voltage corners and a plurality of temperature corners to establish an intermediate population of the intermediate designs, and (D) searching the intermediate population of the intermediate designs to locate a final design of the analog circuit that is optimal across all of the corners.

Abstract: A method for analog circuit design includes the steps of (A) simulating a plurality of initial designs of an analog circuit with a simulation that is based on random values and is executed in a computer to generate a plurality of respective yield values, (B) retaining the initial designs of the analog circuit where the respective yield value exceeds a threshold, (C) evaluating the retained designs of the analog circuit with an extreme value analysis to generate respective upper confidence intervals and respective lower confidence intervals of the retained designs, and (D) marking the retained designs as passed where a plurality of electrical specification values of the analog circuit fall below the respective lower confidence intervals. A final design of the analog circuit is based on the retained designs marked as passed.

Abstract: A method for analog circuit design includes the steps of (A) simulating a plurality of initial designs of an analog circuit with a computer to generate a search space that contains a plurality of parameter values, (B) allocating to each of the parameter values (i) a respective designer weight and (i) a respective dynamic weight, (C) adjusting one or more of the dynamic weights of the parameter values in response to a failure to convert the initial designs of the analog circuit into a final design of the analog circuit to generate adjusted dynamic weights, and (D) ranking the initial designs of the analog circuit in response to said parameter values as weighted by the adjusted dynamic weights to identify a subset of the initial designs. The final design of the analog circuit is based on the subset of the initial designs of the analog circuit.
