    Abstract: A joint assembly for flexible and semi-rigid piping, such as high density polyethylene piping or the like. The assembly comprises a joint end sleeve and a nut. The joint end sleeve comprises in series first, second, third and fourth co-axial sections of circular cross-sections. The first and second sections are to be disposed within the end of the piping. The nut, with an internal threaded surface, is made of a material harder than the one used in the piping and with a higher or equal hardness than the one on the joint end sleeve.
