Patent number: 11786019Abstract: A personal item management apparatus includes a bag including opposing first and second side panels, opposing first and second end panels, and a bottom panel. In several embodiments, a first foot is formed by the bottom panel and/or the first side panel, and a second foot is formed by the bottom panel and/or the second side panel. When placed on a flat surface, the first and second feet are adapted to provide support so that the apparatus stands upright and at least a portion of the bottom panel is spaced apart from the flat surface. In several embodiments, a zipper is coupled to each of the opposing first and second side panels. A wearable band may be coupled to the zipper so that the zipper is openable and closeable by moving: the wearable band relative to the bag; and/or the bag relative to the wearable band.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2019Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: THE BIG O, LLCInventors: Jane Dunne Cooke, Mary Caroline Nix

Patent number: 11166540Abstract: An embodiment personal item management apparatus includes a wearable band having a fixed circumference that defines a first outer diameter; and a clasp coupled to the wearable band, the clasp having a second outer diameter that is less than the first outer diameter and being adapted to couple a personal item to the wearable band. In an exemplary embodiment, the ratio of the second outer diameter to the first outer diameter is about 0.4.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: THE BIG O, LLCInventors: Mary Caroline Nix, Jane Dunne Cooke

Patent number: 9788097Abstract: The present disclosure describes a multi-mode headset incorporating both bone conduction and aural transducers. Bone conduction plates of the headset rest on a users' temples, just in front of each ear in one implementation, and create sound through vibrations in a first mode, allowing the user to listen to the headset while still leaving environmental or external sounds audible. In a second mode, the user detaches aural transducers or earbuds from an attachment point and inserts them into the user's ears, blocking external noise and providing passive and/or active noise isolation. In a third mode, both the bone conduction plates and aural transducers may be used simultaneously, providing additional amplitude and potentially wider frequency response. The headset may include a switch, such as a magnetic proximity sensor detecting the position of the aural transducers, to control a mixer or amplifier to re-route audio through the aural transducers.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2016Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignee: BIG O LLCInventors: Stefan Bisits Bullen, Nicolas Sabharwal, Sunil Sabharwal
