Abstract: A strap installer to extend the reach of a worker on the ground to allow the worker to engage a hook of a strap on an overhead tarpaulin. The strap installer has an extension element, a strap holder, and a securing element. The extension element is an elongated member that extends the reach of a worker on the ground. The strap holder holds a portion of the strap near the hook to be attached to the tarpaulin, and is removably secured to one end of the extension element. The securing element secures a free end of the strap to the extension element.
