Abstract: A hopper for continuously drawing out tires through a water tank including at least one line of declining roller conveyors disposed under an opening for charging the tires. A water tank is diposed under the roller conveyors which receives the tires and arranges the tires in a predetermined direction. A plurality of spaced-apart hooks draws the tires up out of the water tank. The pulled up tires are then transported through a slide plate and a belt-conveyor to a predetermined place.

Abstract: An apparatus for gas wet-treatment which includes at least one perforated plate having a unique arrangement of round holes. The holes are provided with a cross-sectional area larger than about 1 cm.sup.2 and a length of between 2 and 10 cm. The central axes of least some of the round holes have portions which meet the perforated plate at an acute angle. Gas is directed upwardly through the plate, while liquid proceeds in a downward direction to provide countercurrent contacting of the gas and the liquid.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a process and apparatus for recovering the oil component from a flow of dust-including dry-distilled gases produced in a furnace for thermal-decomposing solid polymer wastes, and more particularly to a process and apparatus for continuously recovering the oil component from a flow of dry-distilled gases comprising combustive gases, an oil component, moisture, and dust which are produced in a furnace for thermal-decomposing or dry-distilling polymer wastes such as waste rubber tires, waste plastics, etc.
