Abstract: A carton carrying handle particularly adapted for use with a wraparound type carton in which cans, e.g., soft drink or beer cans, are sold. The handle includes a handle flap defined in the carton's top panel by a free edge cut line disposed substantially transversed to the panel's longitudinal axis, and by a generally curved hinge line located opposite to and spaced from the free edge cut line with that curved hinged line being bowed toward the free edge cut line. An extender cut line is connected to each end of the curved hinge line so as to constitute co-linear extensions of the hinge line, each of those extender cut lines being of a length that traverses an adjacent fold line which connects the top wall panel and an adjacent side wall panel so that each extender cut line terminates within a side wall panel. Each end of the free edge cut line is connected with an adjacent extender cut line so as to fully define the handle flap.

Abstract: An end wall display window particularly structured for use with a wraparound type carton in which a container matrix of, e.g., soft drink or beer cans, is sold. The display window structure preferably includes two wrap panels at each end of the carton, one on each wrap panel pair being connected to each of the carton's side walls. The two wrap panels of each pair are wrapped around portions of the outer surface of the end container in the matrix so that the wrap panels conform to the configuration of those container outer surface portions. The wrap panels are configured to define a window so that at least a portion of those end containers about which they are wrapped will be exposed to the sight of a casual viewer.

Abstract: A carton carrying handle particularly adapted for use with a wraparound type carton in which cans, e.g., soft drink or beer cans are sold. The handle includes a handle flap defined in the carton's top panel by a traverse breakaway cut line spaced from a traverse fold line, both lines extending across that top panel from side edge to side edge, and by breakaway cut lines co-extensive with the side edges of the top panel, so as to provide a handle hole with a length equal to the width of the top panel, and with a width sufficient to permit a user's fingers to be received through the hole underneath that top panel. Preferably the handle flap is separable into two sub-flaps by means of a longitudinal breakaway cut line that extends between the transverse cut line and the handle flap's hinge line, the hinge lines for the two sub-flaps being co-axial one with the other.

Abstract: A compliance carrier of the basket type having a row of cells on each side of the center handle panel. Each row's cell divider panel section and cell compliance panel section are positioned and structured within the carrier blank so that the cell divider panels and cell compliance panels are glued together along a fold line oriented in the cross machine direction relative to the machine direction travel of the blank through a carton gluing machine, that fold line being a leading edge on the panel section not folded. Further, each row's cell divider panel section and cell compliance panel section are oriented and structured so that no glue tabs or panels within either section needs to be folded prior to gluing of the cell divider panels and cell compliance panels one to the other.

Abstract: A basket carrier with plural cells in a single row, the carrier including a novel handle panel structure and a novel automatic floor structure. The novel handle panel structure incorporates a panel system by which a handle panel is positioned in a plane normal to the carrier's side walls when the carrier is erected, and parallel to the carrier's side walls when the carrier is knocked-down. The novel automatic floor structure prevents substantial sagging of the floor when the carrier is erected and loaded.

Abstract: A dispenser carton for dispensing sheet material, e.g., household wrap type sheet material. A unique cutting edge structure for the carton permits tearing off a length of sheet material withdrawn from a supply roll inside the carton, while simultaneously braking the sheet material remaining on the roll during the tearing step to prevent inadvertent withdrawal of additional sheet material. In preferred form, the cutting edge structure is comprised of an abrasive applied to the free edge of the carton's closure flap, the abrasive being on the inside face of that closure flap. After the desired sheet material length is withdrawn from the roll within the carton, the carton's cover is closed and the closure flap is manually pressured against the carton's front wall. In this attitude, the abrasive and the closure flap's leading edge cooperate to provide a cutting edge by which the free length of sheet material can be torn off the supply roll from one edge to the other.
