Abstract: A system for transmitting data from a timing controller (TCON) to several source driver integrated circuits (SICs) in a display. The system is suitable for use either with a high data rate or a low data rate to each of the SICs. The TCON provides a serial data stream to a SIC, which either uses all of the received data, if it requires high rate data, or relays a portion, e.g., half, of the data to another SIC, which then does not require a separate direct connection to the TCON.

Abstract: Diamond is grown on a substrate (S) from a mixture of a carbon-containing gas and hydrogen gas, by a DC plasma enhanced CVD process of applying a DC voltage between a stage electrode (12) for holding the substrate (S) and a voltage-applying electrode (13). During the step of growing diamond by applying a DC voltage, a single pulse voltage of opposite polarity to the DC voltage for diamond growth is applied between the stage electrode and the voltage-applying electrode at a predetermined timing. Diamond of quality is produced at a stable growth rate.

Abstract: A method, a user equipment (UE) and a communication system are provided. In the disclosure, a UE configured with multiple carriers determines whether a first, a second, and a third conditions are met, and then determines whether resources allocated for the UE on the carrier are sufficient or not accordingly. The first condition defines that the UE is transmitting as much scheduled data as allowed by a current service grant on the carrier. The second condition indicates that the UE has enough transmission power available to transmit data at higher data rate on the carrier. The third condition indicates total buffer data requires more than a preconfigured time period to be transmitted through the carrier together with at least one of other carriers among the multiple carriers.
