Abstract: A control architecture for use with beverage product dispensers is provided. Instructions may be received at an interface module for performing one or more requested dispenser operations. The interface module may send the instructions to a dispense module. The dispense module may translate the instructions to predetermined commands associated with a dispenser. The one or more requested dispenser operations may then be performed based on the predetermined commands from the translated instructions.

Abstract: A system and method of manufacturing a metal vessel may include providing a preform being formed of work hardened aluminum. The preform may have an open portion, a closed portion, and body portion. A multiple segment mold may be closed around the preform. The multiple segment mold may include at least one projecting portion operative to partially deform the preform while closing the mold. The preform may be blow molded by causing a step-like change in pressure within the preform to cause the preform to take a shape defined by the mold when the mold is in the closed position. The molded preform may be removed from the mold.
Abstract: A dispenser system for providing variable carbonation can include a carbonated water source in communication with a carbonated water valve for controlling flow of carbonated water through the dispenser system; a still water source in communication with a still water valve for controlling flow of still water through the dispenser system; a nozzle in fluid communication with the carbonated water source and still water source; a processing device adapted to modulate the carbonated water and still water valves within a modulate cycle to achieve a ratio of carbonated to non-carbonated water; and a pour mechanism adapted to provide an input to the processing device to dispense the beverage.
Abstract: A cooling system for use in a beverage dispenser, the cooling system including: a cold plate having a top surface and a side surface; a carbonator arranged in a non-horizontal orientation relative to the cold plate, the carbonator having a sidewall, a lower uninsulated portion of the sidewall of the carbonator being in thermal communication with the side surface of the cold plate; and a fastener coupling the carbonator to the cold plate, the fastener having a lower thermal conductivity as compared to a thermal conductivity of the carbonator.
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a beverage nozzle for mixing at least a first beverage ingredient and a second beverage ingredient into a homogeneous mixture. The beverage nozzle comprising a housing comprising a first portion and a second portion and a first inlet in fluid communication with the housing. The first inlet is configured to provide the first beverage ingredient to the housing. The beverage nozzle also includes a second inlet in fluid communication with the housing. The second inlet is configured to provide the second beverage ingredient to the housing. In addition, the beverage nozzle includes a mixing core disposed within the housing. The mixing core is configured to mix the first beverage ingredient and the second beverage ingredient into the homogeneous mixture. Further, the beverage nozzle includes an outlet disposed about the housing, wherein the homogeneous mixture exits the housing by way of the outlet.

Abstract: A system and method of manufacturing a metal vessel may include inserting a preform into a mold that includes multiple segments, the preform being a work hardened metal. A pre-pressure may be applied to the preform at a first pressure level. The multiple segments of the mold may be closed, and the pressure being applied to the preform may be increased using a step function to a second pressure level after the mold is closed to cause the preform to take a shape defined by the mold.

Abstract: The present application provides a compressor for use with a flow of carbon dioxide. The compressor may include a first stage compression mechanism for compressing the flow of carbon dioxide from a low pressure to an intermediate pressure, an oil separator downstream of the first stage compression mechanism, and a second stage compression mechanism positioned downstream of the oil separator for compressing the flow of carbon dioxide from the intermediate pressure to a high pressure.
Abstract: The present application provides an ice dispenser for dispensing a volume of ice. The ice dispenser may include an ice bin and an ice deflector positioned about a top of the ice bin. The ice deflector may include a reverse funnel configuration such that an entrance to the ice deflector is narrower that an exit to the ice deflector so as to prevent the volume of ice from bridging therein in whole or in part.

Abstract: Syrup dispensing cups are provided that include a body structure that includes a first polyester or co-polyester resin with one or more first co-monomers incorporated into the first resin at a first mol % and having an intrinsic viscosity from about 0.45 dL/g to about 1.3 dL/g when measured at a temperature of 25 C. The body structure has a first opening that is sealed with a first sealing layer and a second opening sealed with a second sealing layer, in which each sealing layer includes a second PET-based co-polyester resin having one or more second co-monomers incorporated into the second resin at a second mol %, and the ratio of the first mole % to the second mol % is less than 1. Methods for or enhancing the shelf-life of syrup dispensing cups are also provided.
