Patent number: 7631376Abstract: A tightly rolled sleeping bag. The tightly rolled sleeping bag is rolled using conventional equipment, but pressure is applied to an end of the sleeping bag so as to cause the sleeping bag to be more tightly rolled than previous sleeping bags. Rolling tines for a rolling machine for rolling the sleeping bag are tapered so as to aid in removal of the tightly rolled sleeping bag. A storage sack is provided for holding the sleeping bag. The storage sack is configurable between a first arrangement where the storage sack holds the sleeping bag in the tight configuration, and a second arrangement where the storage sack may be released and expands to hold the sleeping bag in a less tightly rolled configuration. To provide such a function, an expansion section is provided on the storage sack. A closure is provided on the expansion section.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2006Date of Patent: December 15, 2009Assignee: The Coleman Company, Inc.Inventors: Michael W. Peterson, Susan L. Publication number: 20080278946Abstract: A spotlight (20) that utilizes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) (44, 46). The spotlight (20) converges light beams (B1, B2) from the LEDs (44, 46) to a concentrated beam of light (300) of a defined width. Each LED (44, 46) has its own parabolic reflector (34, 36, 38). The parabolic reflectors (34, 36, 38) are focused so that bright, collimated light beams (B1, B2) from the parabolic reflectors (34, 36, 38) are converged and collocated at a defined distance to give the appearance of a single, narrow intense beam of light (300).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2008Publication date: November 13, 2008Applicant: The Coleman Company, Inc.Inventors: Kevin J. Publication number: 20080244834Abstract: An airbed (2) having an integral clock (50) or audio player (300). The clock (50) may be mounted, for example, on a faceplate (32) that is mounted on a sidewall (24) of the airbed. In an embodiment, the clock (50) is formed integrally with an air pump (38) that is built-in to the bed. The air pump (38) and the clock (50) share a common faceplate (32), and the pump is mounted behind the faceplate. Controls (40, 52) for the pump (38) and the clock (50) are included on the front of the faceplate (32). In an embodiment, the clock (50) is a projection clock. That is, an image (252) of the time or other information provided by the clock (50) is projected outward from the clock, for example onto a wall or on a ceiling. In this manner, a user may view the time or other information while lying on the airbed (20), for example.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2008Publication date: October 9, 2008Applicant: The Coleman Company, Inc.Inventors: Jason T.
