Abstract: An oral care implement having a tuft hole with inclined walls. In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement comprising: a head having a front surface and a rear surface; a tuft hole in the front surface of the head, the tuft hole extending along a central axis, the tuft hole comprising a first sidewall and a second sidewall opposite the first sidewall, each of the first and second sidewalls comprising an inclined section that converges toward a central plane that comprises the central axis with decreasing distance from the front surface; and a bristle tuft formed by a plurality of bristles, each of the plurality of bristles having a first portion disposed within the tuft hole and a second portion protruding from the front surface of the head, the second portions of the plurality of bristles converging toward the central plane.
Abstract: An oral care implement comprises a handle having a container containing oral care fluid, A head includes tooth cleaning elements and a fluid outlet to output fluid into the vicinity thereof. A manually actuatable pump mechanism in the handle between the container and fluid outlet is connected thereto by respective first and second conduits. The pump mechanism comprises a chamber having an inlet connected to the first conduit, an outlet connected to the second conduit, and an actuatable valve mechanism for selectively opening the inlet and outlet respectively to cause fluid flow into and out of the chamber. The mechanism comprises first and second valve elements and a deformable actuator connected to the first and second valve elements. A wall which defines at least a part of the chamber is adapted to be manually moved to operate the valve mechanism.
Abstract: Described herein are oral care compositions comprising (i) a magnesium alkali metal silicate complex clay, and (ii) an orally acceptable anionic polymer, in a dentifrice base, which compositions are useful for alleviating dental sensitivity. Also provided for, are methods of making and using the compositions described herein.
Abstract: Provided herein is an aqueous composition comprising an active antiperspirant ingredient and disodium EDTA, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient is present in an amount of 0.2 weight % to 3 weight % by total weight of the composition on an anhydrous basis, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient comprises an aluminum salt, and wherein the pH of the composition is from 2 to 5. The composition may be used as an antiperspirant when applied to the axillary area of a person.
