    Abstract: A method for estimating the gas-oil ratio (GOR) of a flowing oil well in real-time includes installing a first pressure downhole monitoring system in a flowing oil well, and installing a second pressure downhole monitoring system in a flowing oil well such that a pressure gradient can be calculated between a pressure measured by the first pressure downhole monitoring system and a pressure measured by the second pressure downhole monitoring system. Then the pressure is measured at the well-head of the oil well, and previous production test results of the oil well are reviewed in order to collect a liquid flow rate from the measured well-head pressure. Finally, known correlations between liquid flow rates and pressure gradients at constant GOR values are used to determine the GOR of the well.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of generating an addendum surface for use in forming a sheet metal part by using an Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF) manufacturing process, wherein the method includes: providing a Computer Aided Design (CAD) geometry of the sheet metal part to be formed; and generating an addendum surface that surrounds and extends the CAD geometry; wherein the addendum surface has a constant slope everywhere and has no regions of self-intersection. The addendum surface can be used to manufacture a male and/or a female underform tool for use in the ISF process, such as Two-Point Incremental Forming (TPIF). The addendum surface has a user-specified constant design wall angle, ?c, which can be selected to prevent tearing of sheet metal parts during ISF due to excessive thinning at large wall angles (i.e., wall angles greater than 60°).

    Abstract: A load regulation device, such as an LED driver, may be configured to control the intensity of a light source based on an analog control signal and a preconfigured dimming curve. The LED driver may sense a magnitude of the analog control signal and determine a new low-end and/or high-end control signal magnitude that falls outside of the input signal range of the dimming curve. The LED driver may rescale the preconfigured dimming curve according to new low-end and/or high-end control signal magnitudes and dim the light source based on the rescaled dimming curve. Multiple LED drivers controlled by the same analog control signal may communicate with each other regarding the magnitude of the analog control signal sensed by each LED driver, and match their target intensity levels despite sensing different analog control signal. A controller may be provided to coordinate the operation of the multiple LED drivers.

The improved system includes a bypass line that bypasses at least a portion of the main outlet line of the activated carbon bed to result in a reduced sweeping flow rate.
