    Abstract: A curl resistant single substrate label sheet, and in-line high speed method for making same, for use with conventional printers, including at least one body portion, at least one label portion, and at least one release liner portion, all of which are made of a common substrate permitting the use of the label sheet with conventional printers including off the shelf laser printers, including duplex printers. The label portion may include multiple individual labels that may extend all the way to the edges of the label sheet. The label sheet may contain printed indicia on all portions of the label sheet and permit the end user to print on all exposed surfaces. The label sheet may include at least one score across the grain of the substrate to increase the rigidity of the label and further prevent curling.

    Abstract: A fold-through puzzle designed to interact and engage the interest of a puzzle solver for amusement and as a vehicle to present advertising to the viewer. The puzzle utilizes at east one planar member and a plurality of fold lines and may be repeatedly folded to create the illusion that several pieces of paper are being endlessly passed through themselves. In one embodiment, a plurality of planar members are attached to one another such that the members may pivot about each other on fold lines. In an alternative embodiment, the fold-through puzzle is configured with a single planar member and a plurality of incisions through the planar member, such that the puzzle maybe folded along fold lines, creating pivot areas and corner area, that when folded, produce the illusion that a single piece of paper is being endlessly passed through itself.

    Abstract: A three-panel, one-gusset film processing envelope is manufactured in line from continuous web stock. The front and rear main panels are created from what was the central and one lateral marginal portion of the web, and the pocket-dividing interior panel from what was the other lateral marginal portion of the web. A tear-off claim check initially faces a double thickness nonfolded fold-over flap for closing the pockets. A transverse band of resealable adhesive is exposed through a die-cut window in the flap. Entrance to the adjunct pocket for receiving negatives on the trip back from the processor is passively facilitated by the consumer in the act of folding over the flap for the trip to the processor. The envelope bottom is closed by a transverse glue strip which, by involving all three panels, provides a relatively stiff bottom marginal portion which preferably bears the machine readable unique number for the transaction, thereby facilitating presentation of the envelope for reading by a reading device.

    Abstract: In making the product, the manufacturer coats a longitudinal band of a web with a release coating. A longitudinal pressure-sensitive adhesive strip is applied in a longitudinal band on the web. Transverse glue lines are provided and the web is longitudinally folded, bringing two portions of the web into face-to-face contact. As a result, the transverse glue lines define individual envelope pockets and the release-coated surface on the first web portion becomes applied to the longitudinal adhesive strip on the second web portion. At the same time, the release-coated band of the first web portion is longitudinally severed from the remainder of the first web portion, thereby creating a separate peel-off strip removably covering the band of pressure-sensitive adhesive. The peel-off strip is manufactured while the envelope is being manufactured, and out of the same paper or paper-like material. The manufacturer can print, e.g.
