  • Patent number: 10159357
Abstract: A lightweight child carrier that can be mounted upon the front or the back of a wearer's torso with little or no need to adjust the carriers harness. The carrier includes a main panel having generally a rectangular shape. The bottom edge of the main panel is joined to the top edge of a padded waist band and the bottom edge of a head restraining panel is joined to the top edge of the main panel. Shoulder straps are connected to the main panel and are cojoined by a chest strap that is slidably mounted upon each shoulder strap. Adjustable restraining straps are connected to the chest strap and to the head restraining panel. An auxiliary waist belt is provided that considerably expands the length of the waist band to allow the carrier to be worn by a woman during pregnancy.

  • Patent number: 9955797
Abstract: A child carrier having a waist belt, an upper torso support, a hammock coupled to the waist belt and to the upper torso support, and a thigh support strap extending to each side of the hammock. Each thigh support strap has an inward end portion proximate to the hammock and an outward end portion configured for selective coupling to the upper torso support in multiple positions. When the thigh support straps are coupled to the upper torso support, the hammock and the thigh support straps form a seat to support a child in an ergonomic spread-squat position in inward and outward facing orientations. The shape of the seat adjusts depending on the positions in which the outward end portions of the thigh support straps are coupled to the upper torso support.

  • Publication number: 20180065655
Abstract: A stroller having a central hub system that is reversible and foldable is provided. In one example, support members of the stroller chassis (e.g., members supporting the front wheels, back wheels, handle bar(s), and child seating surface) extend from the central hub system and are selectively rotatable there around. In some examples, the central hub system allows a user to collapse or fold the stroller from a first operational position (e.g., suitable for supporting a child) to a second collapsed position (e.g., where the support members rotate around the central hub system together to a more compact position relative to the operational position). In some examples, the collapsed position may be achieved in a single step (e.g., motion), and by one hand, of the user. The central hub system may also allow for reversing the handlebar to support the child in either a forward or rear facing configuration.

  • Patent number: 9839302
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide infant carrying devices. In particular, embodiments described herein provide infant inserts to carry an infant in a child carrier. Inserts according to various embodiments can comprise a flexible panel having a curved shape that narrows toward one end of the panel. The panel can define a front opening to an area to hold the infant. A cushion can be disposed at the bottom of the area to hold the infant. The infant insert can be adapted to support an infant in a wearer facing position with the infant's knees raised. In particular, embodiments of infant inserts can be adapted to promote a spread-squat-position.

  • Patent number: 9700152
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide hip seat devices and systems for carrying a child in a position that is ergonomically beneficial for the child and comfortable for the wearer. A hip seat device may comprise a seating platform attached to a wearer engagement surface. The wearer engagement surface is held against the body of a wearer, such as by a waist belt encircling the wearer. The seating platform has a bucket shape for promoting a child seated thereon to assume an ergonomic spread-squat position (“M” position). The bucket shape may have the additional benefit of bringing the child closer to the wearer, reducing the moment on the carrier and thus the resulting force on the wearer.
