Patent number: 7060337Abstract: An adhesive roller for detritus removal having a tubular cylindrical adhesive roll formed by a plurality of overlapping spiral wound layers. Each layer has a backing substrate and an adhesive coating on an outwardly facing side of the sheet. A cover is removably disposed around and has an inner side in contact with the outermost layer of the adhesive roll. The cover has an adhesive release coating on its inner side to reduce adhesion between the cover and the outermost layer of the adhesive roll and two longitudinally extending edges positioned closely adjacent each other when the cover is disposed around the roll. The cover is formed by overlapping spiral wound strips. Additionally, a longitudinally extending adhesive retainer strip overlies the edges of the cover to detachably secure the covers together. A pull-tab is adhesively attached to one side of the retainer strip which enables the cover to be repeatedly removed from and reattached to the adhesive roll.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2004Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: The Evercare CompanyInventor: Peter John Williamson

Patent number: 7056023Abstract: A wash bag assembly for washing delicate wash items having a container which defines an interior chamber. The container is constructed of a water-permeable material. A separator wall extends through the interior chamber and divides the interior chamber into a first and second subchamber. A first closure selectively provides access to the first subchamber for the insertion and removal of at least one wash item while, similarly, a second closure selectively provides access into the second subchamber for the insertion and removal of at least one wash item.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2004Date of Patent: June 6, 2006Assignee: The Evercare CompanyInventor: Lena L. Patent number: 7055204Abstract: A cleaning device having a support pad with a planar side and a side opposed to the planar side. An electrostatic cleaning sheet is detachably secured across the planar side of the pad. An elongated arm is secured at one end to the opposed side of the support pad. An elongated handle has one end secured to the other end of the arm by a locking joint which selectively locks the handle to the arm at a plurality of predetermined angular positions. A rubber blade which forms a squeegee is also secured to the opposed side of the support pad.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2003Date of Patent: June 6, 2006Assignee: The Evercare CompanyInventor: Sherry Ajluni

Patent number: 7047587Abstract: A lint roller holder assembly having a lint roller support with an outer cylindrical surface. The lint roller support is dimensioned so that a tubular and cylindrical lint roller may be rotatably supported around the outer surface of the lint roller support. An elongated handle is axially slidably mounted to the lint roller support between a first position and a second position. In its first position, the handle extends axially outwardly from one end of the lint roller support when use of the lint roller assembly is desired. Conversely, in its second position, the handle is at least partially contained within the interior of the lint roller support for compact storage, display and/or transportation.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2004Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Assignee: The Evercare CompanyInventor: Lena L. Publication number: 20050050660Abstract: An adhesive roller for detritus removal having an elongated strip where the strip has both a backing layer and an adhesive layer overlying and covering a first side of the backing layer. The strip also has a first end, a second end and two spaced apart sides. The strip is wound from its first end and to its second end into a tubular cylindrical roller with the adhesive layer facing outwardly. An adhesive release coating also overlies at least a portion of a second side of the backing layer. The adhesive release coating may be either applied as a liquid coating, or may be a solid substrate. This adhesive release coating facilitates removal of individual sheets from the roller. Alternatively, a portion of the backing layer is crimped to form alternating peaks and valleys along at least a portion of the backing layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 4, 2003Publication date: March 10, 2005Applicant: The Evercare CompanyInventors: Nicholas McKay, Mark Schmidt

Publication number: 20050026759Abstract: A detritus removal roller construction particularly suited for a lint roller is disclosed having an elongated strip with a backing layer and an adhesive layer overlying one side of the backing layer. The strip has a first end, a second end and two spaced apart sides and is wound from its first to its second end into a tubular cylindrical roll. The backing layer comprises a compressible layer which retains and/or creates and electrostatic charge in use.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2003Publication date: February 3, 2005Applicant: The Evercare CompanyInventors: Nicholas McKay, Peter Williamson

Patent number: 6842934Abstract: An adhesive roller construction for detritus removal having an elongated strip. The elongated strip includes a backing layer and an adhesive layer overlying and covering one side of the backing layer. The other side of the backing layer has an adhesive release surface. The strip includes a first end, a second and two spaced-apart side edges. A portion of at least one side edge of the strip is retrorsely folded over and adhesively attached to the adhesively coated side of the strip. The strip is then wound from one end to the other end into a cylindrical roll with the adhesive layer facing outwardly.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2003Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignee: The Evercare CompanyInventors: Nicholas D. Publication number: 20040194240Abstract: An adhesive roller having an elongated strip with a backing layer and an adhesive layer overlying at least a portion of one side of the backing layer. The strip has a first end, a second end, and two spaced apart sides. The strip is wound from its first end and to its second end into a tubular cylindrical roll in which multiple layers of the strip overlap each other. An elongated perforation is formed transversely across the strip at spaced intervals therealong. This perforation, furthermore, includes an outwardly protruding tab at a position intermediate the ends of the perforation. This tab registers with a non-adhesive portion of an immediately inner layer of the strip so that the tab pops out from the roll to facilitate removal of the individual layers of the roller.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2003Publication date: October 7, 2004Applicant: The Evercare CompanyInventor: Nicholas D.
