Abstract: Disclosed is a high speed binding device wherein a package wound with a binding thread is fixed to a flange of a flyer with its thread-winding axis in parallel with the rotation axis of said flyer and the binding thread is drawn out in the direction of the winding axis; and thereafter said binding thread is passed through a first tensioner for imparting to the binding thread a back tension decreased with a rise in the rotation speed of the flyer and then through a second tensioner for imparting to the binding thread a back tension increased with a rise in said rotation speed, thereby to cause said decrease in the back tension to be offset by said increase in the back tension, thus to bind, with a substantially constant back tension, the binding thread about the outer periphery of an element assembly passing through a through hole coaxially bored through the flyer.
Abstract: Curable polyolefin insulating material covering an electric cable core is continuously cured as it is drawn through a horizontal curing tube constituted of a number of units each composed of heating and cooling zones and a seal portion provided to separate one unit from another, the curing tube being filled with a high-viscosity heat transfer liquid. At each seal portion, the heat transfer liquid is super-cooled and increases its viscosity enough to seal the clearance between the outer surface of the insulated cable core and the inner wall surface of the curing tube to support the cable core with the least dip. This apparatus can improve production efficiency, and the finished product is free of any eccentricity or distortion of its shape.
Abstract: A core wire-connecting device has a reciprocative housing; a rotor rotatably mounted therein and having a plurality of front receptacles and the same number of rear receptacles formed in mutual alignment in the peripheral surface of the rotor equidistantly in a circumferential direction; a connector disengaging member for inserting a connector constituted by a sleeve and a conical wedge received therein into the front receptacle in a first position of the rotor; a wedge-removing member disposed ahead of the rotor in alignment with the front receptacle in the first position of the rotor so as to force the conical wedge received in the sleeve placed in the receptacle into the corresponding rear receptacle; a core cutting-off mechanism disposed close to the front end of the rotor at the second position of the rotor spaced through a prescribed phase angle from the first position thereof in the rotating direction; a core-holding unit provided in front of the housing to support core wires except when the rotor is r

Abstract: Organic or inorganic particulate solid substances are coated with a polymeric material by dispersing the particulate solids, the surfaces of which have been treated so as to be compatible with the polymer coating, in a solution containing the polymer dissolved in a water-immiscible solvent, slowly introducing into the dispersion an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic protective colloid, thus producing an emulsifying liquid medium, and removing therefrom the solvent, to finally obtain polymer coated solid particles. The polymer-coated powder thus obtained is useful for application to various substrates by fluidized bed coating, electrostatic spraying, or electrophoretic deposition, followed by sintering to form films.
Abstract: In the ultrasonic apparatus being so constructed as to be capable of directing the oscillation of ultrasonic waves to the inner part of a container and the like, an ultrasonic apparatus characterized by the provision of an ultrasonic wave transfer preventive member to ensure the prevention of transfer of ultrasonic waves to unintended matters other than the object matter.
