  • Publication number: 20240135112
Abstract: An apparatus for automated safety data sheet (SDS) processing that translates the entire SDSs from numerous chemical vendors, and in various formats (.pdf, .doc, .txt, .jpg, .gif, .png, etc) to machine-encoded text by employing optical, RFID, and infrared scanning, reading and writing devices. The apparatus reads and assess documents as a human would; ensuring that the documents are compliant, ensuring reported values are within expected thresholds, and that there are no conflicts in hazardous material classification, and comparing to similar products for more environmentally friendly alternatives. The apparatus further employs a processor that computes meta-algorithms as trainable neural networks that allow the invention to “learn” and appropriately classify values and calculate statistical probabilities for output accuracy and precision.

  • Patent number: 11953295
Abstract: An explosive reactive armor (ERA) enclosure for an ERA tile includes a bottom and a plurality of sidewalls extending from the bottom, where the plurality of sidewalls are continuous with each other and with the bottom so as to define an internal volume. The plurality of sidewalls are formed from a fiber-reinforced composite material having a plurality of plies of fiber sheet material. Additionally, a sidewall seam defined by abutting edges of the first ply is offset from a sidewall seam defined by abutting edges of the second ply. Methods of manufacturing ERA enclosures, including applying wrap layers and forming attachment structures for securing the fiber-reinforced composite ERA enclosure to an armor element, are also described. The composite enclosure is inexpensive and lightweight and improves the dynamic capabilities of armored vehicles using such ERA tiles.

  • Publication number: 20240105781
Abstract: A gallium oxide field effect transistor that is built on a base layer. A doped gallium oxide channel layer is disposed on top of the base layer, and a dielectric barrier layer is disposed on top of the gallium oxide channel layer. Source contacts and drain contacts are disposed on top of the dielectric barrier layer, with one each of the drain contacts disposed in an interdigitated manner between one each of the source contacts. The interdigitated source contacts and drain contacts thereby define channels between them, where alternating ones of the channels are defined as odd channels, with even channels disposed therebetween. Gate contacts are disposed on top of the dielectric barrier layer in only one of the odd channels and the even channels.

  • Patent number: 11912946
Abstract: Various embodiments that pertain to fuel processing are described. A fuel processor can produce an endothermic reaction that cools a substance and produces a processed fuel from a raw fuel. A generator can employ the processed fuel to produce an electricity. The generator can supply the electricity to a load that uses the electricity to function. The load can become hot due to its functioning and can benefit from being cooled. The substance cooled by the fuel processor can cool load and in the process the substance can rise in temperature. This warmer substance can be transferred to the fuel processor to be cooled again and this cycle can continue. Further, the fuel processor can use the warmer substance to achieve the endothermic reaction.
