  • Patent number: 10649608
Abstract: A non-interactive screen sharing session executing within a computing device can be identified. The device can be communicatively linked to different computing devices of the screen sharing session. The contents of the remote screen buffer can be analyzed to determine a graphical representation of a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) within the contents prior to presenting the contents of the buffer within the device. A visible information item can be extracted and a non-visible reference can be established from the representation. An area surrounding the representation including a position and dimensions of the representation within the contents can be determined. The representation of the URL can be replaced with an interactive element in real-time. The element can include the visible and non-visible reference. The contents of the buffer can be presented within an interface associated with the session of the device, responsive to the replacing.

  • Patent number: 10649857
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for dynamically changing a data protection plan based on a risk score. The risk score is continuously or periodically recalculated based on situational factors that are detected from external modules. The situational factors can include natural phenomena such as weather, fire, and seismic activity. The situational factors can include manmade phenomena such as financial conditions, political stability in the region where the data resides, war, terrorist attacks, and the like. The situational factors are retrieved from one or more external modules. The external modules may be IoT (Internet of Things) modules. The external modules are monitored, and as new data from the external modules becomes available, a risk score for stored data is computed. The risk score is then used to select an appropriate data protection plan.

  • Patent number: 10649908
Abstract: In an approach for purging an address range from a cache, a processor quiesces a computing system. Cache logic issues a command to purge a section of a cache to higher level memory, wherein the command comprises a starting storage address and a range of storage addresses to be purged. Responsive to each cache of the computing system activating the command, cache logic ends the quiesce of the computing system. Subsequent to ending the quiesce of the computing system, Cache logic purges storage addresses from the cache, based on the command, to the higher level memory.
