Abstract: A method and system for placing a call back from a call center to an end user viewing a website includes sending a request for the call back from an end user computer to a call server, the request including the PSTN number at which the end user wishes to be called; placing calls to the end user and the call center, the call center call including the ANI/callerID of the number at which the end user is called; requesting by the call center data concerning the end user from the call server; receiving by the call server data from the end user computer; and transmitting the data from the call server to the call center. The data from the end user computer may be an identification of the web page being viewed, data entered on the web page, an end user identifier and/or co-browsing data.

Abstract: A display package with foldable legs, and a method for converting the package from a shipping arrangement to a display arrangement without removing the contents of the package are provided. The display package can be a blister package, a clam shell package, or a similar package containing product such as cosmetics. To convert to the display arrangement, a portion of the package is removed, and the legs are folded approximately perpendicular to the package to provide adequate support and display the product contained in the package.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method using isoforms of the human ErbB3 receptor as negative regulators of heregulin-stimulated ErbB2, ErbB3, and ErbB4 activation. The present invention also discloses a system and method of one such isoform, p85-sErbB3 binding to heregulin with an affinity comparable to that of full-length ErbB3, and competitively inhibiting high affinity heregulin binding to ErbB2/3 heterodimers on the cell surface of breast carcinoma cells. The present invention also uses p85-sErbB3 to inhibit heregulin-induced phosphorylation of ErbB2, ErbB3, and ErbB4 in cells and uses p85-sErbB3 as a negative regulator of heregulin-stimulated signal transduction and as a block for cell growth. The present invention is also directed to nucleic acids and expression vectors encoding p85-sErbB3, host cells harboring such expression vectors, and methods of preparing the protein.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automated field data collection. A client system may download graphical representations and space hierarchy information associated with the project from a server. A user may open, on the client system, an area where the field data collection is to occur (e.g., a room in a building), whereby the client system automatically navigates to a pre-defined region of the graphical representation (e.g., an architectural floor plan). For each discrepancy identified, the user may touch a corresponding location on the graphical representation and select a discrepancy type from a list. The user may then associate additional data files, such as image files, audio files, video files, and GPS coordinates with the discrepancy. An organization responsible for correcting the discrepancy may be automatically assigned and/or notified based on an association made on the server.

Abstract: An adjustable stop plank for a power tool includes a drive mechanism connected to the stop plank for continuous adjustment of the angle of the stop plank with respect to the work surface and has a display for indicating the current angle of the stop plank. In one form, the micro-adjusting device for the stop plank of a power tool includes a hand wheel unit provided on the holding frame operable to continuously adjust the angle of the stop plank. The power tool may include indicia to indicate a plurality of angles for the stop plank and an index for indicating on the indicia the current angle of the stop plank.

Abstract: A method for fusing a first conduit section to a second conduit section, each including at least one bell portion with a first end and a second end and having a bell portion inside dimension greater at the second end of the bell portion than at the first end of the bell portion. The method includes: heating and melting at least a portion of each of the second end of the bell portion of the first conduit section and the second end of the bell portion of the second conduit section; and fusing the first conduit section and the second conduit section by engaging the second end of the bell portion of the first conduit section with the second end of the bell portion of the second conduit section, thereby creating a fused conduit system having a fused joint area.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure apparatus that can be used to process solid waste materials into useful, fuel and recyclable streams. The pressure vessel utilizes, conditions of heat and pressure to process the solid waste into the fuel and recyclable streams reducing hazardous materials and offensive odors. The vessel comprises an elongated container having enclosed volume and at least one open end. The open end is sealed using a closure having a closing apparatus. The closing apparatus is a rapidly actuated easily used mechanism that maintains the door in a sealed closed position maintaining useful pressure but can be readily opened with little effort for either removing processed waste or for introducing unprocessed solid waste.

Abstract: A system and method for processing a transaction in connection with a loyalty rewards program comprising identifying at least one individual associated with said transaction, communicating associated information to a processing component that includes rules and logic associated with said loyalty rewards program, determining an eligible amount associated with said transaction for at least one promotion, determining at least one reward based on said eligible amount and said at least one promotion, and storing detailed, comprehensive, line item information associated with the transaction. Said system and method may further comprise determining an owed amount associated with at least one loyalty provider based on said rules and logic and charging said at least one loyalty provider for said owed amount.

Abstract: A method for modelling the migration of reactant in a subsurface petroleum system is described. The method comprises in part generating a mesh for an area of the petroleum system. The mesh comprises a plurality of nodes, with each node representing a point in space in the area. The method also comprises calculating one or more variables representing one or more physical characteristics at each node in the area and determining the migration of reactant in the petroleum system based on the one or more variables. The method can also handle multiple reactant phases and non-static meshes.

Abstract: The present invention provides a control system for a bathing unit that comprises a heating module, a thermal element and a heating module controller. The heating module includes a body that defines a passage through which water can flow, that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The heating module further includes a heating device that is operative for heating the water that flows through the body. The thermal element is mounted to the outer surface of the body such that the thermal element is in thermally conductive communication with water flowing through the body. The heating module controller is operative for obtaining temperature information associated with the thermal element for detecting at least in part on the basis of the temperature information the sufficiency of water flow through the body.

Abstract: The present invention performs “flow control” based on the remaining encryption capacity of an encrypted outbound network interface link of a network routing device, such as a router or switch. As the encrypted link begins to run low on encryption key material, this invention begins to discard datagrams queued for transit across that link, in order to signal distant host computers that they should slow down the rate at which they are sending datagrams. The invention, which is particularly useful in cryptographically protected networks that run the TCP/IP protocol stack, allows fine-grained flow control of individual traffic classes because it can determine, for example, how various classes of data traffic (e.g., voice, video, TCP) should be ordered and transmitted through a network. Thus, the invention can be used to implement sophisticated flow control rules so as to give preferential treatment to certain people, departments or computers.

Abstract: A multi-purpose apparatus used for cleaning and removing debris from plumbing comprising a handle assembly having first and second ends, the first end includes a handle section for grasping by an operator. A trigger assembly is operatively located within the handle section for actuation by the operator and a receiving assembly is located within the handle assembly at the second end. The receiving assembly includes a pair of gripping arms. The multi-purpose apparatus further includes a working head having an attachment end and a working end. The attachment end has a head including a reduced diameter, chamfered portion for engagement by the gripping arms to hold the working head and the handle assembly portion in a locking connection.

Abstract: A motorcycle including a frame, an engine mounted to the frame, and a stand movable between an extended position in which the stand supports the motorcycle and a retracted position. The motorcycle includes a sensor operable to generate a stand signal indicative of at least one of the extended and retracted positions of the side stand and a controller electrically coupled to the sensor to receive the stand signal. The controller is programmed for preventing operation of the engine based on the stand signal during a first operating condition of the motorcycle and is further programmed to allow running of the engine during a second operating condition of the motorcycle, regardless of the stand signal.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatus, and computer program products are provided for monitoring the transfer of cargo, such as a shipping container, to and from a transporter, such as a truck. Identification codes are provided on the cargo and the transporter to aid in the identification of the cargo and the transporter. One or more identification code receiving devices, such as a camera, may be associated with a cargo moving apparatus, such as a crane, and configured to automatically capture the transporter identification code and the cargo identification code as the cargo is being transferred to or from the transporter. The transporter identification code and the cargo identification code can be associated with each other along with other information about the transfer in order to monitor the transfer. In this regard, identification information may be communicated to a shipping terminal's operating system to provide real-time information about one or more transfers occurring within a shipping terminal.

Abstract: A device for cleaning an endoscopic device is disclosed. The device has a flexible sleeve movable between a collapsed position and an extended position. The sleeve has an opening at its proximal end. A cleaning tool is disposed within the sleeve. Further, cleaning fluid is included within the sleeve. A method of using the device to clean an endoscopic device is also disclosed.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of the invention provide a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for limiting unauthorized access to digital services. A protected nonvolatile memory component is configured. The protected nonvolatile memory component is used to contain state information to provide desired functionality and enforce one or more security policies for accessing the digital services. Additionally, the protected nonvolatile memory component and a microprocessor's nonvolatile memory component share a programming charge pump and programming control. Access to the nonvolatile memory component is then controlled through a fixed state custom logic block.

Abstract: A self-sealing gasket is suitable for sealing a curved object to a surface. The gasket includes a pair of side rails and a support panel between the side rails. Respective top portions of the side rails extend above the support panel to define an object receiving channel on an upper side of the gasket. Respective bottom portions of the side rails extend below the support panel to define a deflection cavity on a lower side of the gasket. The gasket is formed of a flexible material such that when the curved object is received in the object receiving channel and the curved object and gasket are fixed to the surface, the top portions of the side rails deflect inward to seal the curved object. By virtue of material deflection, a dense material may be used for the gasket while maintaining flexibility.
