Abstract: A door support includes a first shaft coupled to a door for rotating the door; a first armature on the first shaft; a second shaft with at least one module that resists motion; a second armature on the second shaft; a linkage that connects the armature on the first shaft with the armature on the second shaft; a freewheel on the second armature or on the second shaft that does not engage the module that resists motion thereby allowing the door to open without resistance, the freewheel engaging as the door is closed to provide a resistance as the door is closed, and the linkage positioned such that as the door is nearly closed that the resistance becomes negligible allowing the door to fully close.

Abstract: Systems and methods for that allow for the creation and management of a gift registry including styleboards are described. The gift registry may be a centralized gift registry. Gifts are added to the styleboards from a centralized or a retailer-specific registry. A styleboard is generated and displayed. Gift givers may view and/or select gifts from one or more the styleboards of the gift registry. In one embodiment, when a purchase of a gift occurs, the gift list and/or the styleboard(s) is updated. In one embodiment, updates to gifts are sent between the gift registry systems, such that the gifts common to these gift registries are synchronized. This synchronization may involve the use of APIs associated with the respective gift registry systems.

Abstract: A water monitoring and control system adapted for residential and commercial use automatically shuts off the water supply after a predetermined period of time, whether the flow is intentional or unintentional, thereby preventing damage from leaks and other malfunctions. The system also gives an indication of all water flow ranging from normal usage to leakage of a few drops and large flow, as would typically occur due to a break in the plumbing system. The system is easily bypassed in the event of power outages. In terms of hardware, the main components of the system include a normally closed water shut-off valve, preferably solenoid-operated. A pressure-responsive switch senses changes in water pressure and sends a signal in the event of a pressure drop, and a timer is provided to start a timing cycle when there is a demand for water, either intentional or unintentional, and shut-off the flow after a predetermined period of time selected by the user.
