Patents Assigned to The Langenau Manufacturing Company
  • Patent number: 7014227
Abstract: A wedge bar locking mechanism is provided including a locking pin, a bracket and a wedge bar. In operation, the locking pin and wedge bar are mechanically coupled such that rotation of the locking pin results in translational motion of the wedge bar. The wedge bar and locking pin are received in the bracket which prevents rotational motion of the wedge bar and translational motion of the locking pin. In a preferred embodiment, the bracket has retaining tabs permanently attached or integral thereto, and extending radially inward of a longitudinal cylindrical pathway for accommodating the locking pin therein. The tabs are received within a reduced diameter portion of the locking pin to prevent translation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4510786
Abstract: A method of making double reverse corrugated material includes feeding the material between an upper die and a lower die. Each of the dies have laterally spaced projections and a stripper positioned in the spaces between the projections of the die. One die is moved toward the other die to form the corrugations in the material. One die is moved away from the other die while both strippers and the other die are maintained substantially fixed with respect to each other. The stripper associated with the moving die is then moved with respect to the other die and the stripper associated with the other die is then moved with respect o the other die to strip the formed double reverse corrugated material from the dies. The formed material is then moved out from between the dies.

  • Patent number: 4486040
Abstract: An improved slide latch assembly for a casket is disclosed of the type having a longitudinally elongated base and a slide bar which extends along and perpendicularly to the base and is capable of longitudinal movement to engage and retain escutcheons. In place of the separately formed and attached channel members of the prior art, the present invention may provide U-shaped restraining guide members which are integrally formed from the base by being stamped therefrom and bent to extend perpendicularly from the base. In addition, the invention may provide differently shaped securing portions on the slide bar so that some of the escutcheons are first engaged before the slide bar is moved further to engage the remainder of the escutcheons.
