  • Patent number: 4088350
Abstract: A connector for Teflon tubing having a male connector with a tapered end providing a male conical sealing surface engageable with a conforming internal conical sealing surface machined in the end of the Teflon tubing. A collet having an annular collar conforming to and surrounding the interfitting male connector and end of tubing provides with the male conical sealing surface an axially extending wedge-shaped annulus for receiving and gripping the internally tapered end of the Teflon tubing.

  • Patent number: 3994560
Abstract: A collar particularly adapted for animals and characterized by an improved reflective surface is provided. An elongated, flexible strip of clear extruded plastic has a pocket which extends through a convex arc of at least ninety degrees. A strip of light-reflective material is sealed in the pocket so as to present a convex light-reflective surface. By sealing the reflective material within the transparent pocket, it is not possible for the animal to wear away the light-reflective surface and dirt and other foreign materials cannot diminish its light-reflective ability. In one embodiment the flexible strip is sealed at both ends and a buckle is secured while complemental eyelets are provided for presenting means to secure the collar around the animal. In another embodiment, an elongated slot is provided along the length of the collar and is adapted to receive a conventional collar thereby permitting the reflective collar to be slipped on and off and worn only when needed.

  • Patent number: 3971542
Abstract: A valve system with an electromagnetically operated pilot valve for pneumatically actuating an operating piston of a primary valve for accurately metering, controlling and/or dispensing fluid with the primary valve. The piston is connected for pivoting a valve member actuating rod enclosed within a flexible tubular projection of a Teflon valve body via a rocker arm engageable with a free end of the tubular projection. Connectors for inlet and outlet Teflon conduits to the Teflon valve body have hard plastic inserts mounted within inlet and outlet passageways of the valve body between conforming sealing surfaces of the valve body and conduits.

  • Patent number: 3962729
Abstract: A zipper-fly arrangement for connecting two garment body panels and for concealing the zipper when closed. The panels are arranged in the form of a right hand and a left hand panel with cooperating zipper scoops to be connected with each panel. The zipper components are carried by right and left zipper tapes, each having a web with an edge to which the zipper scoops are connected and an extended portion terminating in another edge which is substantially parallel with the zipper edge, the other portion being disposed to extend past and overlie the zipper scoops. The right and left zipper tapes are positioned on the respective panels so that the zippered edges can be joined to close the panels. When the zipper is closed, the front and back faces of the zipper, i.e., the scoops, are covered by the extended portions of the web of each tape.
