  • Publication number: 20240164653
Abstract: A method, system, and computer product for determining intracranial pressure (ICP) of a subject non-invasively. The method including: applying at least one selected controlled force to an eye of the subject; imaging retinal vascular pulsation of the eye of the subject over at least one cardiac cycle at the at least one selected controlled force; processing the retinal vascular pulsation images to produce retinal vascular pulsation amplitude data as a time-varying signal; decomposing the time-varying signal into at least two frequency components representing the time-varying signal; determining intracranial pressure from a data basis which includes at least information associated with the frequency components, and wherein the retinal vascular pulsation data includes at least retinal arterial pulsation data.

  • Publication number: 20150190280
Abstract: An apparatus for irradiating a specimen: that includes an optical transmitter for transmitting light from a laser source; an optical probe configured to receive the light from the optical transmitter and to apply the light upon emission from an optical exit to the specimen; a position detector adapted to detect a position of the optical probe in a longitudinal direction and to output a signal indicative of the position or of a change in the position relative to a surface forward of the optical probe; a drive coupled to the optical probe and adapted to controllably adjust a position of the optical probe in the longitudinal direction; and a feedback controller adapted to receive the signal from the position detector and to control the drive to control the position to keep the optical probe at substantially a constant position relative to the surface forward of the optical probe.

  • Patent number: 7986342
Abstract: Provided is a multi-purpose imaging apparatus (10) comprising a body (14) and imaging means (36) housed within the body (14). The body (14) is adapted to releasably engage an adaptor (12). The adaptor (12) has an aperture (108) extending therethrough that aligns with the optical axis (X) of the imaging means (36) when so engaged, such that at least a portion of the optical axis (X) is not obscured. The adaptor (12) also has optics for illuminating a subject within the optical axis (X) for diagnostic purposes.
