Abstract: Fabrics prepared from a modified every course style with courses of spandex covered with rigid yarn and bare spandex plated with rigid yarn and their use in production of fabrics and elastified knitted garments are provided.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are spandex fibers having reduced friction. The spandex fibers have a sheath-core cross-section with a lubricating additive is included in the sheath. A fusing additive is optionally included where a coalesced multifilament spandex yarn is desired.
Abstract: Articles, such as garments, including films comprising dried aqueous polyurethane dispersions are disclosed, whereby the garment has an altered stress which is exhibited during wear of the garment and/or has one or more sections of waterproof or water-resilient fabric. The film may be bonded to the fabric of the article to provide a fabric or film laminate.

Abstract: Elastic fibers with wax compositions which reduce surface friction and over-end-take-off tack without negatively impacting creep performance, fabrics, garments and laminates containing these fibers, and methods of preparing the same are provided.
Abstract: A rolling guide for a fiber strand comprises a first support member extending from a base of the roller guide to a compound joint having first and second portions. The first portion of the compound joint is mounted on the first support member for rotation around a first axis. The second portion of the compound joint being rotatable relative to the first portion around a second axis at a compound angle to the first axis. A second support member is connected with the second portion of the compound joint at a proximal end of the second support member. A channeled roller is carried on the second support member distally from the proximal end, and mounted for rotation around a third axis. The channeled roller has an annular channel formed therein. A fastener is provided to selectively prevent the second portion of the compound joint from rotating around the second axis relative to the first portion of the compound joint.
