Patent number: 10695598Abstract: A safety cabinet includes an enclosure and at least one door to selectively seal the enclosure. The safety cabinet can be used to store, for example, flammable liquids, flammable waste, corrosives, pesticides, or combustible waste. The safety cabinet incorporates a thermally-actuated damper that includes a body, a valve plate, and a pivot assembly. The valve plate is disposed within the passage of the body such that the valve plate is movable between an open position and a closed position. The pivot assembly includes a biasing system adapted to bias the valve plate to the closed position and a fusible link interconnected between the body and the biasing system to constrain the valve plate from moving from the open position to the closed position. The fusible link is configured to melt at a predetermined temperature to thereby allow the biasing system to move the valve plate to the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2017Date of Patent: June 30, 2020Assignee: JUSTRITE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LLCInventor: Glen A. Publication number: 20200122969Abstract: In one embodiment, a braking apparatus includes a pair of brake shoes, a cam follower connected to at least one of the shoes, a compressible spring connected to the cam follower, and an actuation assembly including a motor, a ball screw and an electromagnetic clutch. The braking apparatus is operative to transition from a brake applied position where the brake shoes are closed and a brake release position where the brake shoes are separated. When the braking apparatus is in the brake release position, a brake application may be commenced to close the shoes by power no longer being supplied to the electromagnetic clutch. Additionally, when the braking apparatus is undergoing a brake release cycle to separate the brake shoes, the brake application cycle may also be commenced prior to completion of the brake release cycle when power is no longer supplied to the electromagnetic clutch and the motor.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2018Publication date: April 23, 2020Applicants: G.A.L Manufacturing Company LLC, G.A.L Manufacturing Company LLCInventors: James Varon, John Curzon, Thomas Wei

Patent number: 10392801Abstract: A modular storage structure can be constructed from a number of modular wall panels and modular roof panels. Multiple modular wall panels can be joined to form a wall system of the storage structure. The wall panels can be serially connected together such that a J-shaped interlock member of one panel is in abutting relationship with a corresponding J-shaped interlock member of another wall panel to define a series of wall stud assemblies adapted to receive fasteners for joining wall layers. The roof panels can be serially connected together in a similar fashion. In embodiments, the storage structure can be constructed such that it meets the predetermined requirements for a fire rating (e.g. a 2-hour or a 4-hour fire rating).Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2015Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignee: JUSTRITE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LLCInventors: Anthony Dirk Cornia, Francisco Sergio Lira

Patent number: 10342295Abstract: Adjustable traction is provided in a traction cleat by selectively restricting or not the amount of flexure permitted for a dynamic traction element on the cleat. Restricting flexure is alternatively achieved by an adjustably positionable ring or by rotating the cleat to align the dynamic element with different shoe sole topographical features. A dual locking post is provided to reduce the surface area required on the cleat hub for locking structures. The cleat is formed in a two shot molding process that permits elongations of the dynamic traction elements without sacrificing the integrity of the cleat structure.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2017Date of Patent: July 9, 2019Assignee: PRIDE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LLCInventors: Rand J. Patent number: 10322475Abstract: An adjustable roll and support mechanism for elongate objects having a round cross-sectional configuration has a support base having a pair of parallel upright tubular members having rigid or collapsible support legs. Elevation posts are positioned in movable telescoping relation within respective tubular members and support a roll positioning head having an internal roll positioning mechanism. A pair of roll assemblies are movably supported on the roll positioning head. Lock rings are positionable at a locking position to restrain downward movement of the elevation posts relative to the tubular members and are positionable at a release position permitting downward movement of the elevation posts. Lock ring stops are mounted to a transverse structural member and are positioned to prevent the lock rings from becoming bound after being struck by a lock release mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2016Date of Patent: June 18, 2019Assignee: SUMNER MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LLCInventor: Robert H. Patent number: 10279437Abstract: A jack stand apparatus has a frame having a first portion and an outwardly extending second portion, a barrel affixed to the outwardly extending portion so as to have a generally vertical longitudinal axis, a jack screw threadedly received by the barrel, and a plurality of caster wheels removably affixed to the frame. The barrel has an outer end extending outwardly for a first distance from the first portion of the frame. The plurality of caster wheels support the frame for a second distance from a level of the bottom of the caster wheels. The first distance is no more than the second distance. A support head is affixed to an end of the jack screw opposite the barrel. The frame is invertible relative to the caster wheels such that in one position the barrel extends upwardly from the frame and a second position in which the barrel extends downwardly from the frame.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2015Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: SUMNER MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LLCInventor: Lawrence Velez

Patent number: 10123617Abstract: An apparatus that can be used to hold varying weights contains a planar body, a plurality of support beams, a first beam receiving channel, and a second beam receiving channel. When in use, items are stored upon a load bearing surface of the planar body. The plurality of support beams is slidably positioned in between the first beam receiving channel and the second beam receiving channel. Depending on the weight of the items, the user can adjust the number of the plurality of support beams being utilized. When the items are stored, the weight of the items are evenly distributed among the plurality of support beams. Since the plurality of support beams is positioned opposite to the load bearing surface, the items can be stored with no interference.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2016Date of Patent: November 13, 2018Assignee: Nashville Wire Products Manufacturing Company, LLCInventors: Phillip Kent Rollins, Randall Louis Berg
