  • Patent number: 4799169
Abstract: Gas well flow instrumentation includes a computation unit and an interrogation unit. The computation unit measures parameters of gas flow at the well head and accumulates gas flow information over a plurality of different independent time intervals. The interrogation unit selectively accesses the stored information and makes a permanent record of the information. The interrogation unit also is used to calibrate the computation unit and to perform a number of other different functions. The interrogation unit includes an integral printer which documents the flow information for subsequent proof of acutal gas flow.

  • Patent number: 4701188
Abstract: A natural gas separation and dehydration system includes a separation stage wherein the gas is expanded to effect removal of liquid water and liquid hydrocarbons. The flow of raw gas to the separation stage may be directly from the well or via a heat exchanger in which the gas is heated by heat exchange with hot glycol, the flow being controlled in response to the temperature in the separation stage so as to maintain a desired temperature range in the latter. The gas flows from the separation stage to a dehydrator stage of special construction wherein the gas flows in both co-current and counter-current relationship with glycol.

  • Patent number: 4316676
Abstract: A device for attaching a plate (12) to a post (14) with a plurality of rectangular apertures (18) equally spaced about the post (14). A plurality of arms (16) are engaged in the post (14), each arm including a retaining end (30) joined to a flat portion (22) by a waist (28). The end (30) is dimensioned to pass through the longer dimension (32) of the rectangular aperture (18) but not through the shorter dimension (34) of the aperture (18). The waist is dimensioned to fit within the shorter dimension (34) of the aperture (18). The flat portion (22) of the arm (16) has a hole (24) threaded to receive a bolt (20). A leg portion (26) extends from the flat portion for contacting the plate (12). Tightening the bolts (20) clamps the plate (12) into abuttment with the post (14) and the legs (26) of the arms (16).
