Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for generating financial goal packages. Personal and financial information is received from a user. Multiple budgeting strategies are generated based on the received personal and financial information. The budgeting strategies specify an amount of money to be saved by the user every set time period. A selection of a budgeting strategy is received from the user. Multiple goal packages specifying an allocation for the money saved by the user are generated. The multiple goal packages are scored based on the selected budgeting strategy. A goal package is selected based on the scores of each of the goal packages. The selected goal package is displayed to the user via a graphical user interface.

Abstract: An insurance claim of an insured under a disability income insurance policy is processed. The policy contemplates that the insured has an occupation in which the insured performs a first set of duties and potentially other duties. In processing the insurance claim, the system and method focus on whether the insured is unable to perform the first set of duties. A threshold test may also be applied to ensure that the amount of the activities spent engaging in the first set of duties during a time period preceding a disability exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: A computer-implemented retirement planning system comprises data collection logic, modeling logic, and report generation logic. The data collection logic is configured to receive data pertaining to an individual planning for retirement. The retirement modeling logic is configured to process the data to generate parameters of a retirement plan. The retirement plan comprises a retirement income arrangement in which the amount of inflation-adjusted retirement income (from sources other than long term care insurance and health insurance) is larger during early years of the retirement plan and decreases as the maximum life expectancy of the individual is reached. The report generation logic being configured to generate a retirement plan report describing the retirement income arrangement.

Abstract: A gravity engine converts one form of energy into another by using the expansion of a fluid medium to propel each of a plurality of bodies upwardly within one of a pair of adjacent vertical passageways. The expansion of a gas, such as steam supplied from a boiler heated by a solar panel, in a chamber and controlled by valves provides the force to propel the bodies against the force of gravity upwardly to the top of the first passageway. A guide directs the bodies from the top of the first passageway to the top of a second passageway wherein the bodies are stacked so that their combined weight acts upon a pocketed drive wheel at the bottom of the second passageway. The drive wheel is coupled to means such as an electrical generator to convert at least a portion of the potential energy of the stacked bodies into another form of energy. The pocketed wheel may also drive a pump used to return condensate water from the engine case to the boiler. The pocketed wheel carries the bodies, e.g.
