Abstract: A food portioning system to more accurately and/or quickly portion food served from a food container includes a support for a container and a bracket coupled with the support. The bracket includes a scrape bar positioned above the support to level food within a serving implement. The scrape bar can also be used as a handle to carry, insert, or remove the food container from a steam table. The scrape bar can be adjustable relative to the support to position the scrape bar at varying heights. Such food portioning systems can be used to support a food container within a food well or on a countertop.
Abstract: The present invention refers to novel compositions and to methods of using the compositions to enhance the detoxification (e.g., deactivation, metabolism, and/or excretion) of various toxins, harmful substances or other foreign substances and to treat and/or prevent diseases or disorders mediated by increased levels of such toxins, harmful substances or other foreign substances. This invention also generally relates to compositions and to methods of using the compositions to maintain and/or increase the levels of glutathione stores and/or other critical components of the Phase 2 processes.

Abstract: The present invention refers to novel compositions comprising hydroxytyrosol, resveratrol, lycopene, flavanols, and/or flavonoids and their use in treating and/or preventing pro-inflammatory diseases or disorders and ROS-mediated diseases or disorders. This invention also generally relates to compositions and to methods of using the compositions to increase tissue oxygenation.
Abstract: A slightly puffed, low density, moisture-absorbing and odor-absorbing additive that can readily remove undesirable odors from a confined space is produced from re-purposed spent carbon materials obtained from other processes. The product is particularly suitable as an addition to animal litters and the like with possible uses in human applications. An aspect of the method includes a step of extruding a spent carbon mixture, optionally containing diatomaceous earth to obtain the additive. Also disclosed are de-germinated corn flour, or grits, that aid process flow and can serve as a substrate for the spent carbon materials.
Abstract: An animal litter, process for preparing the animal litter and a method for removal of animal waste using the animal litter are provided. The animal litter generally includes corn cob, a lubricant, and a cohesiveness agent. The animal litter is in the form of discrete plural particles which tend to agglomerate when wetted.
Abstract: An animal litter, process for preparing the animal litter and a method for removal of animal waste using the animal litter are provided. The animal litter generally includes ground malt sprouts, a lubricant, and a cohesiveness agent. The animal litter is in the form of discrete plural particles which tend to agglomerate when wetted.
Abstract: An animal litter, process for preparing the animal litter and a method for removal of animal waste using the animal litter are provided. The animal litter generally includes at least about 10 weight % finely ground pine wood powder. Further the animal litter includes a lubricant and a cohesiveness agent. The animal litter is in the form of discrete plural particles which tend to agglomerate when wetted.
Abstract: A dispenser unit for dispensing small packets, such as may be used to contain daily dosages of vitamins, comprising an outer holder made of a lightweight rigid material, and one or more inner cartons which are supported by the outer holder. Each inner carton is constructed of cardboard or the like and contains and dispenses packets through an opening at the lower front edge. The carton is sized so that a plurality of packets can be stacked neatly within the container and withdrawn one at a time. The inventive container/dispenser is preferably attached to a refrigerator by a strip of magnetic tape, so that it may be kept at a convenient height and location.
