Abstract: A firearm cleaning tool includes a T-handle having a T-handle longitudinal axis and an outer T-handle surface. A cavity has a cavity longitudinal axis. The cavity is disposed in the T-handle about transverse to the T-handle longitudinal axis. The cavity is opened at least in part through the outer T-handle surface along the cavity longitudinal axis. A ledge disposed within the cavity is adapted to capture a fitting of a cable.

Abstract: A unified bolt and bolt carrier cleaning tool comprising a cylindrical body having a bolt scraper arrangement formed at a first end and a bolt carrier scraper arrangement formed at an opposite end. The bolt scraper arrangement includes a well having two scraper blades shaped to conform to the outer surfaces of the bolt face of a bolt assembly of a weapon. The bolt carrier scraper arrangement includes three longitudinal scraper blades formed in the outer surface and end of the body, the blades being shaped to conform to an inner surface of a bolt-receiving chamber of the bolt carrier. Preferably the tool further comprises a first transverse bore threaded for receiving an auxiliary cleaning tool. Preferably, the tool further comprises a second transverse bore and associated circular recess having scraper blades for cleaning the surfaces of a firing pin extracted from the bolt.

Abstract: A firearm cleaning kit includes a case having a first side, a second side, and a spine disposed between the first and second sides. The spine is joined to the first side and the second side along respective fold lines. The firearm cleaning kit includes a tool-holding insert secured to an interior region of the case, corresponding to the location of the spine. The tool-holding insert includes one or more tool-holders projecting in a direction normal to the plane of the spine. The tool-holder defines an inner cavity sized to secure, by friction fit, at least a portion of a firearm cleaning tool. The firearm cleaning kit further includes a fastener such a zipper for joining together the first and second side of the case.

Abstract: A firearm cleaning kit includes a base cleaning kit, at least one module attachment element affixed to an exterior portion of the base cleaning kit, and a first modular kit case adapted for storing at least one specialized cleaning implement. The base cleaning kit is adapted to store cleaning implements for a first class of firearm. The base cleaning kit includes a tool insert secured to an interior region of the case, and a first firearm cleaning tool secured within the tool insert. The first modular kit case is sized smaller than the base cleaning kit, and includes a first external fastening element adapted for releasable securement to the at least one module attachment element of the base cleaning kit. The specialized cleaning implement not included in the base cleaning kit.

Abstract: A novel cleaning patch system comprising a novel patch grip for cleaning firearm barrels is disclosed. A patch grip includes an arbor and a plug. The arbor includes a base, a stem extending from the base, and an elongate crest connected to the stem. The plug includes an elongate passage therethrough that generally matches the dimensions of the elongate crest. The plug further comprises relatively recessed and/or protruding structures on the face of the plug adjacent the elongate passage that engage the crest of the arbor and prevent inadvertent rotation of the plug on the arbor during firearm cleaning.

Abstract: A firearm bolt cleaning tool includes a tool core defining a plurality of scraper surfaces. The scraper surfaces include a first gas ring scraper surface, a first bolt face scraper surface extending from a terminus of the first gas ring scraper surface, and a first bolt cylinder scraper surface extending from a terminus of the first bolt face scraper surface. Opposing positioned are a second gas ring scraper surface, a second bolt face scraper surface extending from a terminus of the second gas ring scraper surface, and a second bolt cylinder scraper surface extending from a terminus of the second bolt face scraper surface. The first gas ring scraper surface and the second gas ring scraper surface are spaced apart from each other at a distance that is less than a diameter of a cylindrical gas sealing ring holding section of the firearm bolt.

Abstract: A multipurpose tool for maintaining a rifle, comprising a planar body including a wider portion and a narrower portion of a first edge and a curved transition portion therebetween, wherein the narrower portion terminates in a hook-shaped element having a flat portion whose dimension is less that the outer diameter of a bolt piston of the rifle; an arm pivotably attached to the planar body and terminating in first and second prongs defining a notch sized to fit over a front sight adjusting screw of an AR or AK type rifle; and a pin pivotably joining the planar body and the arm. The body may further comprise a notch formed in a second edge opposite the first edge for assisting in disengaging a gas tube release lever of the rifle. The body may further comprise a scraper sized to fit within the gas block of the rifle.

Abstract: A cleaning tool for maintaining a firearm includes a flexible brush adapter having a first end and an opposing second end. The flexible brush adapter includes a rotation-resistant cable characterized by two or more layers of strands having differing directions of lay. The cleaning tool further includes a brush attachment coupled to the flexible brush adapter at the second end thereof. The brush attachment includes a plurality of bristles. In one example, the brush attachment comprises a longitudinal twisted wire spine. The spine captures the plurality of bristles extending radially therefrom. The bristles include copper alloy bristles intermixed with stainless steel bristles.

Abstract: An eccentric rail mounting system is disclosed. In various embodiments, this system comprises an eccentric rail nut for off-center mounting of a rail on a firearm. The eccentric rail nut has an exterior surface that defines a central axis of the nut and a main bore that defines a central axis of the main bore that is displaced from the central axis of the nut. Components and methods are disclosed in a variety of embodiments.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a tool body having parallel columns extending from a common base. The base includes a lip extending outward from the columns defining an anvil for receiving a delta ring. A cutter has a body slidably disposed between the columns. A blade extends outward from the cutter body in opposition to the anvil and is aligned by transverse guide pins extending through guide slots in the columns. In operation, a section of the delta ring is positioned between the blade and the anvil. The blade is driven toward the anvil by any of various mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic mechanisms connected to the stanchion and blade, the simplest of which is a bolt extending through the cutter body and received in a threaded bore in the base. Preferably, the anvil includes a slot for receiving the blade at the extreme of its travel as the ring is severed.

Abstract: A universal gun cleaning patch assembly comprising a support frame having a hub and hub bore, a plurality of resiliently deformable legs, and a swab. The assembly is radially compressible to effectively wipe the bores of weapons having a wide range of bore diameters. The swab material is preferably made integral with the support frame and may include natural or synthetic fibers and/or laminates of natural and/or synthetic fibers and a metal or plastic mesh embedded in a fabric to effectively scrub the inner bore of the firearm and remove gunpowder residues and excess solvents or oils during the cleaning process. The hub bore may sized to be self-tapping on male threads of a cable or rod that is pulled and/or pushed through the bore, or the bore may be tapered and include a plurality of deformable fingers to received a quick-disconnect stem.

Abstract: A firearm barrel cleaning brush includes a body, a first swab portion affixed to the body, a bristle brush portion affixed to the body, and a second swab portion affixed to the body. The bristle brush portion is proximate to the first swab portion, and is positioned closer to an end of the body than the first swab portion. The second swab portion is proximate to the bristle brush portion, and is positioned closer to the end of the body than the bristle brush portion. In one embodiment, the cleaning brush is secured to a flexible cleaning rod having a pull-through handle having a base, a swivel, and a handle portion attached to the base by the swivel. The handle portion has a closed position adapted for passage through the firearm barrel, and an open position adapted for pulling the cleaning rod and barrel cleaning brush through the firearm barrel.

Abstract: A unified bolt and bolt carrier cleaning tool comprising a cylindrical body having a bolt scraper arrangement formed at a first end and a bolt carrier scraper arrangement formed at an opposite end. The bolt scraper arrangement includes a well having two scraper blades shaped to conform to the outer surfaces of the bolt face of a bolt assembly of a weapon. The bolt carrier scraper arrangement includes three longitudinal scraper blades formed in the outer surface and end of the body, the blades being shaped to conform to an inner surface of a bolt-receiving chamber of the bolt carrier. Preferably the tool further comprises a first transverse bore threaded for receiving an auxiliary cleaning tool. Preferably, the tool further comprises a second transverse bore and associated circular recess having scraper blades for cleaning the surfaces of a firing pin extracted from the bolt.

Abstract: A firearm sensor system includes one or more sensor groups and a data storage device. Each of the sensor groups is configured for attachment to a firearm. One of the sensor groups includes a sensor for measuring a position of a firearm bolt relative to a start position of the bolt, and a wireless transmission component for wirelessly transmitting the sensor data. The data storage device includes a computer-readable medium having an executable application stored on the computer-readable medium. The application, when executed on a computing device, receives data from the sensor group via a wireless communication system and presents the data in a user interface displayed on a monitor. In one embodiment, the sensor includes a spring force sensor coupled to a bolt return spring on the firearm.

Abstract: A gun cleaning tool kit, comprising an openable case, at least one mount for receiving a removable tool insert, a portable miniature gun cleaning tool kit disposable in the openable case, a foldable work surface apron. The kit may further comprise at least one removable tool insert, a plurality of gun cleaning tools disposed on the removable tool insert, and an exterior pocket formed in the openable case for storing the portable miniature gun cleaning tool kit. Preferably, the foldable work surface apron is removably attached to, and stored within, the openable case. Preferably, both the openable case and the portable miniature gun cleaning tool kit are closable by zippers.

In one embodiment, the tool comprises a handle part and a tooling part coupled to the handle part. The tooling part can be configured to receive one or more end effectors. The handle part can comprise one or more elongated sections on which are disposed a handle body, where in one construction the elongated sections are interleaved in a manner that permits the handle body to move amongst a plurality of working configurations.

Abstract: A firearm cleaning kit includes a case comprising a first side and a second side joined along a fold line, and a fastener for joining together the first and second side of the case. A tool-holding insert is secured to an interior region of the case. The tool-holding insert includes a plurality of tool cavities and a first firearm cleaning implement removably secured in one of the tool cavities. A module attachment element is affixed to an exterior portion of the case. The firearm cleaning kit further includes a modular kit case including a fastening element releasably secured to the module attachment element of the case. Abstract: A novel firearm pull-through cleaning tool with an integrated foldable handle. The handle is pivotable at a first tool end between a closed position wherein a portion of the handle occupies a longitudinal well in the tool body and an open position wherein the handle is substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis of body. When in closed position the diameter of the tool is less than the bore diameter of a weapon to be cleaned. In use, the handle is pivoted in a first direction to place the tool in the closed position; the tool is inserted into the firearm bore; a cleaning tool is attached to the attachment portion; the tool is passed through the bore; the handle is pivoted in a second direction to place said tool in the open position; and the handle is pulled to cause the cleaning tool to be passed through the bore.
