    Abstract: A decorative noncombustible coating for application to combustible materials. The noncombustible coating includes monoaluminum phosphate; an inert coloring material such as titanium dioxide; phosphoric acid; a surfactant solution; and water in an amount sufficient so that the resultant coating has a surface tension of at least about 60, but not in excess of about 80 dynes per centimeter.
