Abstract: An absorbent article comprising first and second belts. Portions of the first belt making up the leg openings may comprise non-linear portions. And, portions of the second belt making up the leg openings comprise non-linear portions. The article may comprise a center chassis that comprises barrier leg cuffs.
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article that includes a frangible bonding agent for maintaining the absorbent article in a predetermined configuration. The frangible bonding agent may be disposed on a fastening system in order to maintain one or more portions of the fastening system in a particular position during manufacturing but still provide an easy-to-open fastener when used by a consumer.

Abstract: A method of transferring discrete articles from or to a moving carrier member using a transfer assembly is provided. The transfer assembly includes a frame defining a rotation axis and a transfer member including a transfer surface configured to receive one of the discrete articles. The method includes rotating the transfer member about the rotation axis and maintaining a substantially constant pressure between the substantially flat transfer surface and the rotating carrier member throughout a zone of discrete article transfer.
Abstract: An absorbent article comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein the article further comprises at least two volume indicators, and wherein at least one volume indicator comprises a masking layer comprising a water-soluble colorant and a stationary color layer comprising a permanent colorant.
Abstract: Non-spherical liquid droplets comprising a liquid, an internal solid material defining the shape of the droplet, a benefit agent, and methods of making non-spherical liquid droplets.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition for topical application to skin is provided. The cosmetic composition includes vitamin B3 compound, a ricinoleate compound and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The vitamin B3 compound and the ricinoleate beneficially or even synergistically up-regulate proteasomal protease activity as evidenced by a higher observed net luminescence value relative to the calculated net luminescence value in B16 melanoma cells.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for rejecting defective absorbent articles from a converting line. At a downstream portion of a converting process, a continuous length of absorbent articles may be subjected to a final knife and cut to create discrete absorbent articles advancing on a first carrier. From the first carrier, the discrete absorbent articles may be transferred to a transfer apparatus, which in turn, transfers the discrete absorbent articles to a second carrier. The transfer apparatus may include carrier members that orbit around an axis of rotation and may be adapted to receive the absorbent articles from the first carrier and transfer the absorbent articles to the second carrier. Defective absorbent articles may be detected by an inspection system, which may be operably connected with the transfer apparatus and/or the first carrier to remove the defective absorbent articles from the converting process.

Abstract: A collection of articles is disclosed. Each article can be generally provided as a parallelepiped container having a bottom, sidewalls, and a top. The collection of articles comprises a supporting medium, a first slip sheet disposed upon a surface of the supporting medium, and a first plurality of the parallelepiped containers arranged in a first layer upon the first slip sheet. Each parallelepiped container of the first plurality of parallelepiped containers is disposed adjacent each other to define a first space therebetween. A first portion of the first sidewall of the first parallelepiped container disposed within the first space is bonded to a first portion of the first sidewall of the second parallelepiped container disposed within the first space when the first parallelepiped container and the second parallelepiped container are placed into contacting engagement.
