Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a transfer assembly for transferring discrete articles from or to a moving carrier member. The transfer assembly comprises a frame defining a rotation axis. The frame comprises a track having a circumferential shape surrounding the rotation axis. The transfer assembly comprises transfer members movably engaged with the track, each having a transfer surface. The transfer assembly comprises a wheel engaged with the frame and configured to rotate about the rotation axis. The wheel is engaged with the transfer members. As the wheel rotates about the rotation axis, the transfer members circumnavigate about a path about the rotation axis in correspondence with the track. The shape of the track causes the transfer surfaces to move radially relative to the rotation axis while the transfer surfaces are maintained a substantially constant distance away from the moving carrier member at the point of discrete article transfer.
Abstract: A contact printing system comprising a gravure cylinder having first, second, and third pluralities of discrete cells disposed in a respective first, second, and third distribution upon the outer surface of the gravure cylinder is disclosed. The first, second, and third pluralities of discrete cells each receives a respective first, second, and third portion of a respective first, second, and third fluid from a respective first, second, and third at least one channel disposed internal to the gravure cylinder. The first, second, and third at least one channels each have a single entry point at the respective first, second, and third positions external to the gravure cylinder and a discrete exit point at the respective first, second, and third plurality of discrete cells. The first, second, and third plurality of discrete cells are disposed adjacent each other and are randomly distributed upon the outer surface of the gravure cylinder.

Abstract: Methods for making and compositions comprising hollow silica particle are disclosed, said particles made from a composition comprising a silicon-containing compound selected from the group consisting of tetraalkoxysilanes, trialkyloxysilanes and derivatives thereof, dialkoxysilanes and derivatives thereof, alkoxysilanes and derivatives thereof, silicone oligomers, oligomeric silsesquioxanes and silicone polymers distributed over a polymer template core that is eliminated from the particle. The particles of the present invention have a substantially uniform particle size and exhibit low permeability to liquids.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for blow molding a polyethylene container comprising the steps of: a) providing a solid preform made from a polyethylene material having a melt flow index from 0.01 to 10.0 g/10 minutes, wherein the preform comprises a neck region, side walls and a base region, and wherein the side walls between the neck region and the base region have substantially straight and parallel outer walls; b) reheating the preform so that the maximum temperature difference between the hottest and coldest regions of the side walls and the base region of the reheated preform is less than 4° C.; c) transferring the reheated preform to a blow mold; d) stretching the preform at a pressure below 10 bars; and e) increasing the pressure within the reheated preform so as to cause the walls of the stretched preform to expand to the shape and dimensions inside the blow mold.
Abstract: Freshening compositions comprising a malodor binding polymer and an aqueous carrier, wherein the composition is essentially free of any material that would soil or stain fabric; and methods thereof are provided. In some embodiments, the malodor binding polymer comprises a homopolymeric polyethylenimine having a molecular weight of about 1,000 to about 2,000,000. In some embodiments, the freshening composition includes a buffering agent providing a pH of about 6 to about 8. Such freshening compositions may be used to reduce malodor and/or microbes on inanimate surfaces or in the air.
