Abstract: A flexible package being capable and being adapted for accommodating a multiplicity of absorbent articles. The package has a substantially parallelepiped-shape and further comprises a frame. The frame is completely surrounding the top gusset extending upwardly and substantially orthogonally from the top gusset. The flexible package also comprises a handle extending over the top gusset. It is a further object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a flexible package.

Abstract: A method for individualizing a trichome from an epidermis of a non-seed portion of a trichome-bearing plant in the Stachys genus to form a fibrous structure is provided. The method comprises contacting the plant with a device to separate the trichome from the epidermis and incorporating the separated trichome into a fibrous structure.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing customized information to customers are disclosed. The systems and methods provide a holistic approach to providing sales support to a customer intending to purchase items for re-sale. Methods are disclosed by which information available to a seller regarding goods for sale may be selected and even tailored with respect to particular customer users of the method. Similarly, systems which accomplish similar results are also disclosed.

Abstract: Laundry or cleaning composition comprising: (a) a catalytically effective amount, preferably from about 1 ppb to about 99.9%, of a transition-metal bleach catalyst which is a complex of a transition-metal and a cross-bridged macropolycyclic ligand; and (b) at least about 0.1% of one or more laundry or cleaning adjunct materials, preferably comprising an oxygen bleaching agent. Preferred compositions are laundry compositions and automatic dishwashing detergents which provide enhanced cleaning/bleaching benefits through the use of such catalysts.

Abstract: The automatic registration control system of the present invention is a closed loop system including a driving mechanism for feeding a continuous web of disposable absorbent articles, such as diaper pads, toward a cutter. The cutter may separate completed pads from the web. A sensor is positioned along the manufacturing line, and preferably preceding the cutter, for detecting at least one preselected feature of each diaper pad and producing a detection signal when the feature passes by the sensor. A position resolver determines the angular position of the cutter at the moment when the preselected diaper feature is detected, and the average angular position is calculated from a predetermined number of cutter positions. The average cutter position is compared to and subtracted from a target cutter position to produce an error signal. The error signal is then converted into a control signal and supplied to a phase variator which adjusts the position of the cutter in response to the control signal.

Abstract: A hydrophilic phenol ester derivative, especially a sulphonated or carboxylated phenol ester is prepared by reacting a C.sub.6 -C.sub.18 substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic carboxylic acid with a C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 alkanoic anhydride, and reacting the resultant C.sub.6 -C.sub.18 acid anhydride with a substituted phenol such as an alkali metal phenol sulphonate salt or hydroxybenzene carboxylic acid to give a C.sub.6 -C.sub.18 acyloxy derivative of a substituted benzene. The two stage process may be carried out in the same reaction vessel without the use of solvents. The products are useful as peroxyacid bleach precursors.
