Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for transmitting an assessment of facial skin health of a customer are disclosed. For example, the method includes receiving an image of a customer from a mobile endpoint device of the customer, analyzing one or more parameters of a facial skin of the customer in the image of the customer, determining the assessment of facial skin health of the customer based on the one or more parameters of the facial skin that are analyzed and transmitting the assessment of facial skin health to the mobile endpoint device of the customer to cause the mobile endpoint device to automatically display the assessment of facial skin health.

Abstract: An absorbent article for feminine hygiene, comprising: a body contacting layer; a garment contacting layer; and an absorbent core disposed between the body contacting layer and the garment contacting layer. The absorbent core has a core edge. The core edge defines a core region within the core edge and an outer region outside the core region. The body contacting layer and the garment contacting layer extend outward into the outer region and joined together in the outer region. The garment contacting layer may have a graphic printed on the body facing surface or the body contacting layer may have a graphic printed on the garment facing surface. The body contacting layer has a first light transmittance so that the graphic can be seen through the body contacting layer.
Abstract: An apparatus and means of repeatedly dispensing controlled doses of liquid comprising a resiliently squeezable container for containing a liquid detergent composition; a cap operably connected to said container, the cap comprising a nozzle for expelling the liquid out of the container; a dosing chamber operably connected to the cap, wherein the dosing chamber comprises a base having a discharge opening therein, sidewalls extending upwardly along the perimeter of said base and at least one inlet opening located proximal the sidewalls; at least one timer aperture located proximal to the discharge opening; a plunger, provided in the dosing chamber and moveable relative to the chamber so as to advance upon squeezing of the container, up to a blocking position; a valve retaining means located below the base; a valve provided in the valve retaining mean wherein the valve is movable from an open position, allowing liquid flow through the discharge opening, and a closed position, where the valve blocks the discharge

Abstract: An apparatus and method for depositing a particulate containing composition onto mammalian skin such that when the particles contact the mammalian skin they have a momentum defined by ?vr, which is within the range of about 0.1 kg/ms??vr?about 12.0 kg/ms. The particles can be in the range of from about 10 nanometers to about 10 micrometers, in size. And the particles may be selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, glass, silica and mixtures thereof. The particles are imbedded below the first layer of dead skin cells in the stratum corneum but they do not pass all the way through the stratum corneum into the living cells of the epidermis or dermis layers of the skin.
Abstract: A unitary deflection member. The unitary deflection member can have a fluid pervious reinforcing member and a patterned framework. The patterned framework can have a plurality of regularly spaced protuberances extending from the reinforcing member. At least two of said protuberances can be similar in size and shape, and each protuberance can have a transition portion having a transition portion width and a forming portion having a forming portion width. The transition portion width can be less than the forming portion width.

Abstract: Articles that include water-soluble films and household care composition, where the films include a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend and optionally one or more additional components such as plasticizers, fillers, surfactants, and other additives. The PVOH resin blend includes a PVOH copolymer including one or more types of anionic monomer units such as a PVOH terpolymer and a PVOH polymer such as another PVOH anionic copolymer or a partially or completely hydrolyzed PVOH homopolymer. When the PVOH copolymer and PVOH polymer are blended in particular proportions and/or selected with regard to various criteria related to physical and chemical film properties, the resulting water-soluble film formed from the PVOH resin blend exhibits substantially improved aqueous dissolution properties, tensile strength properties, and/or tensile modulus properties.

Abstract: A personal hygiene system includes a personal hygiene device having a receiver unit, a control unit, and a functional unit; and a separate control device having a transmitter unit. The control unit drives the functional unit in at least one of a first functional mode and a second functional mode different from the first functional mode. The control unit inhibits provision of the second functional mode while the control unit is in a default state. The transmitter unit sends at least a first signal to the receiver unit of the personal hygiene device when the separate control device is switched from a default control mode to a first control mode. The control unit can be switched from the default state into a first state when the first signal is received by the receiver unit, in which first state the control unit permits provision of the second functional mode at least during a first allowance period.
